PXLated: i hope so, i'm leaning more and more toward getting one (reviewing att terms now) but will be ultra pissed if features i know can be software updated will not be available. the v1 should be feature parity (exception of 3G and capacity) with other newer devices.

the curiosity in these rumors begs me to wonder if apple will actually provide any updates...it has proven that they 'upgrade' versus require to buy new. for someone on the fence to buy an iphone, that is what concerns me...am i spending for a short-term obsolete device because apple doesn't want to firmware upgrade the device but sell new functionality only a new device?

i'd be interested to learn the answer to the question of why they can't make the acrobat reader product more lightweight? foxit reader is awesome and approx 1MB -- compared to acrobat reader (i know there are a bunch more features in full acrobat) bloat.

and why does podtech only use quicktime video format -- give us choices -- quicktime plugin is *the* worst plugin experience and should be marked badware!

"I think that the way to publish to the Web is to use a blogging tool like Wordpress or Moveable Type..." -- you are confusing designing and publishing...two different paradigms...use expression (or tool xyz) to design/create/manipulate a template or site design...then maybe use a blogging api or other content-ish tool/paradigm to publish to the web site.

the interesting thing is that soutwest recently just threatened to sue several online business providing guaranteed boarding group a passes to people willing to pay a small fee -- they received enough complaints from customers who couldn't get group a -- shows the power of the internet -- one phx based company got screwed on the deal (which i understand is still in investigation of the legalities)
