I DEMAND A REMATCH! Or at least we need to try it again, Gregory, dude. I WANT CARMELY WITHIN. I mean custardy within. Mmmm, yep.

Do over!

PS: The directions weren't totally clear, it's true.

Hey Bear Silber -- I happened to be there when Jeff took photos of Greg's freezer on the night this was filmed. Hit him up for it!

I'm just going to say that if I were to do that in my house, none of my four guys would be in the least discouraged about eating it after me.

The reverse, however, is not true.

So I'm just wondering if you got to eat the rest of all that CWhip yourself. : )

Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Ma Well, some of them were not good enough to eat again. But I did scrape off the top layer for the Lite and the Original and my family macked it

I bet all your coworkers don't share with two other people. Don't you figure most folks eat the whole icky thing?

Man, I love me some spinach but that mushy foamy green stuff is just wrong.

/shudders/

Gregory Ng: The Frozen Food Ma Yes, I know most people eat the whole thing. Its crazy to think how much "icky" is packed into 3 servings!

Yeah, I don't know why either.

You're so funny. You said you "compiled" the dish. Geekspeak!

There is Just No Way I would pay close to ten bucks for something like that, and I'm sorry you had to. I know you're over there saying, "All in a day's - woops - night's work, m'am," but yeesh.

Thank goodness for that Freezer Burns Guy! He won't steer us wrong! : )

What a faker. He didn't even eat half that hot dog! And what did he mean, "worst hot dog of my life"? ALL hot dogs are the worst hot dog of your life. I'm disappointed and I don't even give him a quarter of a star for trying, but I'll give him a whole star for picking a great song to try with.

I had the same deal, driving from Garner out I40 to work in Cary. It was dead empty. Only thing I can figure is that as it gets closer to the holidays, people are ditching work on Friday to get more... more... something non-work-related done. Christmas shopping? /shudders/

I liked not having to creep through traffic, tho, didn't you?

Thanks, Hugh, for a powerful, painful, and true story. We need to be reminded that we ARE God's plan for people like Evelyn. When we hear our failure to be the church named, it should call us to confession, but even more it should call us to change, grow, and make the effort to befriend the next Evelyn sooner and more lovingly.

in Tip: Finding Companies on Twitter on David Risley
You're right. Twitter, while becoming steadily more and more stable, has not yet started seriously incorporating the functionality that third-party clients have been providing. Meanwhile, third-party clients die at an alarming rate (for reasons which I don't understand, but may have to do with the fact that they have to run to get their updates done and most of those guys are doing their twitter apps "on the side"). Twitterverse.com and TerraMinds.com come immediately to mind, although the latter's search function has now been added to Twitter. I've noticed Hashtags.org hasn't been working for a while, either.

My guess is that once Twitter gets full stability, they will begin to add more goodies like these directories, or hashtags, etc. At least I hope so!

in Bloggers: Don’t Be a Fat Ass on David Risley
This video is so funny, and so painfully on target.

I sit all day in front of a computer, too, but have been working for several years to incorporate work outs. Running is pretty easy -- no gym membership or special equipment needed -- and I did that for a few years, since I'm too lazy to buy a bike and drive it somewhere safe to ride, or join a pool and go through the icy water green hair ear infection insanity. Recently I started boxing (http://theglowingedge.blogspot.com/2008/07/im-l...), which is my favorite so far. One hour, $30 for gloves, 1000 calories burned. That's what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the call to action, and the laugh along the way.

I also loved the way it looked. But the reason I shelved it for now is that the Replied column didn't refresh unless I closed the app and re-opened it. I'm hoping that the developers will soon have all their upgrades written and I'll be bringing it back out onto my desktop. It's certainly promising!

I agree, it's good to make smart choices about these things. I cast microposts from Ping.fm to Twitter, Plurk, and Identi.ca, but only pull my Twitters, Diggs, and Stumbles into FriendFeed. FriendFeed is the best place to have conversations, btw. No microblog character limit.

in Your Mind In Your Back Pocket on How To Split An Atom
All my cell info is synced with my computer. I'd do a remote wipe of the cell and still have all my data. And any smart data-worker/user makes regular backups. It goes hand in glove with handling and being responsible for so much data at once. That's also why cloud computing (keeping all your data at a remote location rather than on your computer) is on the rise.

Our culture is already more dependent on search than it is on rote memorization. Both have ups and downs. I get irritated that my kids' school curriculum focuses almost entirely on memorization. Public schools may take longer to shift gears, I guess, but I hope that in the future they will do better at helping the new generations learn search (and back up!) capabilities as well as memorization-based stuff.

in Plurk Offers Horizontal Microblogging on Bloggers Blog
Plurk has major downtime right now. I think I got error messages about five times today alone. I'm also not ga-ga about earning emoticons; this, and the worst logo possible, seem to put it in the "made for teens" bracket. I'll still keep testing it out, but I don't yet expect it to replace Twitter in my network.
