in Google Lively not well recieved on The Inquisitr
We've done a small review of Lively here - http://www.metaversejournal.com/2008/07/09/live... - I think it's a long way of stinking, particularly when compared to some of the lesser worlds already on the market. That said - no Mac support is another major failing IMO.

in IBM and Linden Lab take the next big step for (virtual) mankind on The Metaverse Journal
Hi Shibari,
Not late at all - I said 'the next step' in the heading because we covered the initial efforts a month ago as well: http://www.metaversejournal.com/2008/06/08/inte...
;)

in True traffic measurement in Second Life - when? on The Metaverse Journal
Ahhh you've got to love the WordPress scheduling feature - I wrote this story on 28th April and set it to appear later that day but I must have selected the fifth month on the time stamp - hence its appearance overnight. Sorry for the confusion :)

in And they wonder why people leave Second Life on The Metaverse Journal
Thanks for all the thoughts so far folks.
Dolmere - it was a temporary thing for a few hours but my understanding is it'll be a weekly thing until the underlying issues are resolved.

in Nickelodeon enters virtual world fray on The Metaverse Journal
Hi Gary,
More than aware of Nickelodeon's historical presence but I see the latest announcement as truly 'entering the fray'. The BBC list is very useful, as is K-Zero's work in that area for sure.

in VastServer announced on The Metaverse Journal
Hi Marsoups,
I've had some brief glimpses of VastPark but that's about it - I'm signed up for the beta but because its not a Mac application at present I can't do much. If any TMJ readers have signed up for the beta and would like to report on their experiences, we're definitely interested in hearing from you!
As fas as Openlife I've certainly been in there a couple of times and it's very much a work in progress, but a promising work. And yes, we'll certainly conitnue to track their progress here ;)

in A timely treatise on virtual worlds and enterprise on The Metaverse Journal
Hi Gary,
In well over 12 months I've prevented a total of one comment (from a European reader) from appearing because it was defamatory. If you're tracking back from your site it's not showing up in my spam filter so may be an issue your end....
Update: I checked my spam filter and over the past month 38 pingbacks were caught of which none were yours (all were legit spam).

in Will virtual worlds get a guernsey at Rudd’s summit? on The Metaverse Journal
Couldn't agree more on the cultural elite issue Duncan - there'll likely be a lot of the 'usual suspects' based on fame rather than expertise...
