Isn't this basic courtesy? Those same rules of polite behavior would apply if you were sitting in on and considering enrolling in a cooking class, or a sewing class, or creative writing class.

I am quite familiar with the phenomenon and I am lucky that the dog is too big to sleep on the bed, because I would have to sleep on the floor.

I wouldn't touch that one with a ten foot pole. If you get involved with that, you'll have no life left. Better smile and pretend you don't understand a thing of it. I keep accepting packages for my neighbor about twice a week and I know something is fishy, but I'm not going to ask any questions.

Sorry Elaine, My PayPal account is not activated. I'll believe you if you say you have feet worth looking at. Mine are okay, except that I have my toes very spread out, like duck's feet. At least, that's what I think, but I have this thing about my feet. I don't show them in public very easily, let alone have them photographed. I do have very good ankles however.

in I’m sorry, this is a very long post full of nothing but ranting so feel free to just click right back off…. on Liebfraumilch and Lipstick
Hi Elaine, it's tough being at the bottom of the pile, isn't it? People just kick you around as if you are a piece of sh*t. You don't deserve to be there, but I know that jobs are hard to come by, it is the same way here in the Netherlands. You're supposed to be happy at my age if you get a job cleaning offices. There is so much potential wasted. Well, you and I know we're worth much more than that. Now we just have to convince the world.

I could do with some of your frizz in my straight hair that I have to scare into a curl and then keep it that way with a lot of hairspray. Have you considered short hair? Don't spend all your wages on discounted clothes! Even though you will probably look sexy in them, sigh...

I guess this says a lot about Rob and a lot about you, in that I now admire Rob a great deal and that I see that you admire Rob a lot. I hope he knows that on both counts. I have always thought that being a taxi driver is like being a social worker, as you need to deal with all members of the public, the good, the bad and the ugly and I am sure it's not easy and be a good driver at the same time. I think Rob need not worry about people's admiration for taxi drivers. At least not mine.

I haven't been to a proper wedding or funeral in a long time, so I am out of the circulation of gossip and family feuding, but I sure would have a heck of a good time listening in on some of it and then having a great analysis about it afterwards and I would certainly be tempted to blog about it. The thing I hate most is hypocracy and it seems to run rampant in families. I would have a really good time with that.

We were once in a restaurant and a cockroach walked across the wall right next to our table. BR/BR/Once, I was in a restaurant and found a large hair in my burger and one wrapped around the opening to the ketchup bottle. I left without paying and never went there again. BR/BR/Once, I bought a bottle of 7-up and there was a piece of a mouse floating in it. BR/BR/I have bitten into a raisin bun and chewed down onto a piece of wire. BR/BR/I think sometimes, at the Chinese, they put pre-masticated meat in their food, so I don't eat there anymore. For all I know, they put the left overs back in the pot.BR/BR/I don't go out for dinner anymore, because of my gastric band, but I wonder if that is such a bad thing.

It sounds like nature always comes up with some solution to a potential problem, although I would hate to have to gnaw off someone's penis. At this point I can't even imagine my lips touching one. I shudder at the idea. I seem to be forever turned off. I would be the hermaphrodite snail and have sex with myself if I did have to reproduce. I wonder if they have spinster snails who refuse to take part in the process at all.

Hi,

Very nice beauty blog you have here. Found your blog after searching information for makeup reviews. Thanks for the great information!

My name is Irene and I'm involved in an online beauty community website called http://www.ColorMeGorgeous.com. I was hoping that you would have a minute to check out the site and perhaps if you liked what you saw... write about it on your blog? If not, maybe we could just swap links?

I may be going out on a limb by asking you for promotional help through your blog, but I hope you find ColorMeGorgeous.com to be as news worthy/helpful as I perceive it to be. There's still a lot of work to be done with it, but I'm working on it. It's hard to compete when you're a small fish in a huge sea with huge sites like MUA and the likes, but I do what I can :) My favorite part of the site is the 'critic's corner' where members can review or read up on various product reviews for makeup and skincare. Then there's always the forum, the photo gallery, the ask a makeup artist page, etc.

Thanks for your time :)

Best,

Irene

That sounded like slave labor with a very unprofessional boss and then that poor girl without her wedding dress and you were supposed to tell her! BR/BR/I do so hope that you find the job that you deserve, where you are treated with respect and decent wages. i will keep my fingers crossed for you, because in 6 months time it is my turn and god only knows what awaits me. BR/BR/We chicks have to stick together.

That's a great song, Laney, and a good way to remember Tim by.BR/BR/I'm afraid I don't have one particular song like that for my son, except for everything by Pink Floyd. I have been avoiding playing them lately.BR/BR/It's good that you had such a long and warm and emotion filled goodbye with Tim. That's very special. Treasure that always.

Laney, have you tried hormone replacement therapy? You could ask your doctor about it. I had it for years and have stopped it now and I do not have any signs of menopause, so I think I've got all that behind me now. I certainly saves you a lot of bother and wear and tear. One pill in the morning and that's it, once you are on the proper dose. BR/BR/You described dancing in the rain very well. I smiled as I read it and in my mind watched you run up the stairs in all your naked glory. BR/BR/So, how about you and Rob? He knows you very well, doesn't he? Marriage therapy? Couples counseling? What are you two going to do? Apparently there is love there or am I reading that wrong?

Laney, it is hard, but life is hard and Dan and Tallis do know how to get in touch with you and how to telephone you and how to come by your house. It is okay also for you to pick up the phone and say, I love you very much and I miss you both. But that is all you can do. That's where it begins and ends. You do have to let go now and you can only hold them a little tighter if they come back on their own and then only until they leave a again. Such is life. You must concentrate on your own life now and fulfill that one as much as possible now. That's what Dan and Tallis would want you to do too.

I would rather hand sew a hem on a pair of pants than try them on the sewing machine, because I am sure I would totally botch the job and ruin the pants. Was this in your job description, or did they just spring this on you? A spider in the morning in the Netherlands means bad luck, one in the evening means happiness. It's a good thing you didn't kill it.

You write in such a way, that I am reliving each moment with you and my toes start to sweat also. BR/BR/I am glad that they liked you well enough even with that chocolate star on your rear end, it says a lot for you. BR/BR/Yes, I am sure you have a closet full of appropriate footwear, just like I do. Ha, ha. Some women have a real sense of humor.BR/BR/You are such a survivor. To me you belong to one of the tough broads, and you know that is a compliment, don't you? I am trying to be one myself and I am getting there.

in 19 Going On 20 on quaintly
Leaving your loved ones will be a hard thing to do, but at least you know you have everyone behind you, supporting you and encouraging you.

It'll take time to recover from homesickness, but think of the people you'll meet, the opportunities you'll have, the places you'll see. You're not leaving forever, just gone for a little while.

Don't feel regret towards what's happened to the past, just make the best of the present and see what the future brings.

I'm turning 21 this year and finishing uni soon, but I still feel very much like a child. Turning 20 or any other age doesn't mean we become a different person overnight. Be proud of your achievements. Despite being (only) 1 year older than you, I admire your courage, your outspoken manner, your strong principles.

Stay strong for the ones you'll be leaving behind, because they are even stronger for letting you go.

I agree with #2 and #16 alvin, #24 nicholas C, and #56 Joyce Wong. quote nicholas "I remember you writing about change and wanting to see our society progress further. Remember that integrity starts with all of us and it really is about the little things we do.". same reason why we voice out our dissatisfaction that our mainstream media has a biased voice because they are owned by certain political parties. the new media is certainly refreshing and powerful, but with these I feel it should also come with the minimum journalistic responsibilities, especially for the mega popular ones (I mean this as a compliment), to jump on the "it's my personal space and I can do whatever I want" cart a little less hastily.
