The whole "you only get one shot at this" point hit home for me. Btw, love the new site! When I was wee lad, my parents got me what I think is a pretty good telescope. Never used it a ton and your site might change that.

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - Details On A Show Idea

We actually met this past Tuesday night at the Mediabistro event. I asked what kind of wine is good for a girlfriend who doesn't drink it much. Anyway, I have that entire '91 Upper Deck set in a custom made hardwood case. The way this economy is going, the Griffey card is probably worth more than some stocks I own.

Re: Mail Your Child to Sri Lanka or Hire Indian Pimps: Extreme Personal Outsourcing

Tim,

Have you or anyone you know used redbutler.com yet? Lots of times I will see something I just read because we'll have subscribed to the same feeds. At times, it's almost possible to tell when both of us are reading b/c stuff will show up again right after I had gone over it. Vice versa, I'll come to something from you before I get to it in my own set of feeds. Time travel, perhaps?

2) Google Reader. And I subscribed after one of your several mentions on this blog.
3) Oh sure. http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02874390538...

Re: Google Calendar Sync locked my team out

I haven't run into that problem yet but I'm now awash in duplicates. I initially had Plaxo syncing my Google Apps calendar and office Outlook and then added the Google Sync on Blackberry. When that happened, the massive amount of duplicates started showing up and no matter how much "de-duping" went on, nothing changed. I thought adding the recently released Google Sync for Outlook would solve that problem but it just made it worse.

I've uninstalled both Google sync products and am trying to rescue my calendar w/ Plaxo alone. Although, I'm still stuck in duplicate hell.

Re: Seesmic & Disqus add up to video comments and more

As much as I'd love to see Disqus and/or video comments integrated into WP commenting, I'm not sure it'll happen. Isn't the community and forum-approach that Disqus has a competitor to WP.com? Didn't WP acquire Gravatar to act as part of the WP identity system? Unless WP strikes out on their own or cuts a deal w/ Seesmic or some other vid company, you're exactly right Robert...let the commenting wars begin.

Re: Seesmic & Disqus add up to video comments and more

A bit off-topic but something I wanted to give you a heads-up about:

I read your blog through the Media 2.0 Workgroup feed. Lately, in Google Reader, your post titles haven't beens showing up. Not sure if this is because of the re-design or not but all your posts say "(title unkown)."

Only seems to be happening to you. Everyone else's are okay.
