Hey Chris -

What a great reminder for the week. Personally, it's not the 2 way conversations that is my Achilles heel, but, converting the conversation to be about potential projects. I love to talk issues and strategy, but it's always the pitch and the nudge about projects that i struggle with, and know of lots of folks that are the same. It's always been my belief that if you engage with folks, help them in the way they are comfortable, that a 'pay it forward' effect will happen. Mostly it does, but it can also lull me into waiting occasionally.

What an amazing article. I've spent countless hours with my peers, as well as my clients trying to explanin UX and it's importance, and how it's different from graphic design or front ent programming. what a great job. keep up the good work!

did friendfeed stay up while twitter was down because they have better infrastrucute, or because they have fewer users at macworld posting?

Hey Josh - awesome idea - most of us have been brought up with that kind of thinking - but somehow our 'busy' lives try to tell us we are too busy to help out our fellow man, especially if we are inconvenienced in any way. i hope whether it's an umbrella or some other device, next time you have a chance you make the sacrifice - it is good karma.
