I used to watch TV on my iPod when I lived in NYC and commuted on the subway. As for paying for TV on cell phones? It's a bit of a stretch; I agree that it won't happen.

Re: 2008/08/05/american-apparel-advertising/

Agreed; I can't come up with a better approach off the top of my head, but they need something new.

Re: 2008/08/14/twitter-outbound-sms/

I have no doubt that they are working on a business model, but it's true, the clock is ticking and they need to step it up.

Re: 2008/08/16/the-twitting-point/

I think it's fun too; but just to see. My feeling towards these is the same as that toward Miis.

I like them, and I'll use them, but I don't like the process of actually making them, so if someone else makes one of me, I will use and enjoy it.

Re: 2008/08/18/mint-redesign/

I too love Mint, but I don't notice anything different. Unless these changes were made a while ago, and I've gotten used to them since?

Re: 2008/08/23/obama-sms/

I agree that this botched job will die in the news quick, but I'm still disappointed.

Re: 2008/11/11/marsphoenix-tweet/

Sad times; RIP. I actually heard a talk from a professor leading the team; excellent stuff.

Chris, it's says Triumph.

Re: 2009/02/03/christian-bale-tirade/

When you look at the units on those Trendrr graphs, they don't really mean much. The number of YouTube videos went up less than 3% in four days; nothing tremendous.

The number of blog posts went up 10% in a week, which more significant. Regardless, those graphs skew things a bit.

And the twist graph, there aren't even any units! The scientist in me cringed.

Re: I Can See Viruses Coming To Our Cell Phones

Sad, but I definitely see it happening soon.

Re: 10 Reasons why Twitter is for you and FriendFeed is not

I started using FriendFeed, but I'm not sure I want to add random people (read: network) on it as I do with one of my Twitter accounts because it seems a bit overwhelming. For now I'm using it mostly to watch how much time I waste on the internet.

Re: Why Google should have developed its own Gphone

Firstly nice post.

@Steve
There is the risk of fragmentation? I realize that Android's going for open source, but there is still some level of copyright involved, so couldn't (and shouldn't) they make hardware providers place the whole OS on the devices?
