The humbucker at the bridge makes it possible to get a fatter wailing lead type sound. When mixed with the bridge he can get a super mellow yet punchy chord comping sound. Great investment! It works very well for blues rhythm or lead. http://video-guitar-lessons-reviewed.com/ discusses these sounds in detail and is worth a look.

Re: Of Desmond and Molly Jones or how I don’t want anymore to become rich and famous

Don't be all content to say that you wouldn't mind enjoying a little success! You've earned it. Success comes in many forms - if you feel where you are is success enough then that's fine fine but don't kid or shortchange yourself. Things are much different than when we were kids and perceptions about aging rockers are changing. I have had to accept that certain battles were over and I can call off the dogs but that just whittled down the confusing list of goals into something more manageable in my mind. It actually has given me a more definate direction and a tighter focus. You've worked very hard and deserve something for it. The courses revewed at http://video-guitar-lessons-reviewed.com/ have tips on how to get more focused on your musical direction. I think it's wise to make adjustments to your plan but you can still actively seek some form of "real" success.
