It would be much easier if they all labeled their sizes the same. I am one of those people who will leave items in the store if I am in there too long. So, if I'm fooling around store after store dealing with vanity sizing I'd go home empty handed. Their loss.

First off, I love your site. Second, I realized a while ago that when writing about celebrities people can get a little spastic. They feel as if they personally know the celeb and get defensive on you. I don't know what size Raven wears, but she does not APPEAR to be a 12 (which of course appearances can be deceiving). She is an example because she face it, young people emulate those they like so if she's a 20 saying she's a 12, some poor unsuspecting child will be out there saying they are a 20 when they are a 28. Is it my concern? Nope. Is is sad. Hells yeah.

I love the ads. Very creative from a design concept, but the marketing could cause the company to fail a bit in print. No one would know what they were advertising right away and will only remember the watches.

Pac's poetry was another reason I was feeling him as a person, not just a rapper. The fact that he was up on politics and actually had an informed opinion was one thing, but the poetry was what made him so interesting. Yeah, he could rap about some BS sometimes, but the flip side was what made him stand out.

Marvalus, Come Inside was my all time favorite song by Intro. It was this song and their remake of Ribbon In The Sky that kept their CD on rotation. I actually like the whole CD but those two songs put me in a trance. :)

I think their intentions are bogus. They should be honored that a person of his command has chosen their location to speak to the world. Aaaaaaah Troop! LOL I think I played their music until my whole neighborhood got tired of me. I used to be in the record store 24/7 when I was younger. I made friends with the guy at Nubian Notions (Boston stand up!) and one day he told me to stay in the store because Troop was coming. I stayed for two hours and watch the line start to form around the building while I stood inside. They showed up and I took photos of the group. He told them I had been there for hours and they gave me tickets to the show that night. Y'all couldn't have told me nothing that day LOL. Sorry for the blog post in your comments, but this brought me way back. :D

Girl this story is just sad. Kids these days are getting into situations they have no idea what the consequences really mean. Not that no other generation hasn't, but this is the age of diseases that have mutated into things penicillin can't cure. Masturbating each other during a film!? Wow. What type of teach is that who isn't paying attention to their classroom? When I was in school the teacher would walk around to make sure we weren't asleep. She would have bust gasket to find kids performing sex acts in her classroom.

I agree that true journalism is dying... and fast. People believe if they can tell a story they are a journalist. It takes so much more. I've become more and more appalled at the way the news is presented. It used to be that you respected the newscasters and their craft. I'm beginning to wonder who is behind the stories these days. They are intermingling blogging styles with the local news. I'm tired of hearing so called journalists stating their opinions on a story when I want the facts.

I also think photographers are a dying breed unless you are shooting the stars. The days of taking the family to a photographer for a family photo are being replaced with the digital age.

Very cool tribute. Most people seem to love Sade but she's hardly ever mentioned when people give accolades.

I haven't and will not watch the video. I watched the Oscar Grant video and I felt perverse. Watching someone's life being snuffed out on video made me feel dirty and I won't do it again. I have prayed for everyone involved in this situation, but I just cannot be tainted by watching something that would probably just cause me pain.

That's a powerful photo, and it speaks volumes of how bad things have gotten for the new generation. Kids can't even go to school anymore without fearing their lives. It's really an eye opener.
