Competition helps everyone--even Comacast customers since they have to drop prices and improve service just to stay in business!

Re: Verizon FIOS Driving Down Comcast Prices

Yea, I'm not sure that a comparison of current prices and speeds is valid. What we want is competition to bring prices down and quality of service up. And as tpwk said, it speaks volumes that Comcast is working so hard at keeping Verizon out of the market in NJ (and elsewhere).

Re: Net Neutrality, France and iTunes

I like your comparison a lot, James...it makes a lot of sense to me. I really think we should allow the market to take care of itself--as it almost always does--and keep Congress' mits where they belong (far away from the internet!)

Re: Broadband Competition: An Anecdote

Does anyone really beleive that competition isn't good for the consumer? Unfortuneately, we're still waiting here in NJ (Verizon's home state!) to have access to the service.

Re: Here We Go Again

It's not what I want, tpwk!

Re: The Daily Neut

I'm sure your list of supporters know a lot about networks...that doesn't mean that they're not wrong. This isn't a fight between the evil telcos and the "little guy." This a fight between the telcos and the software giants like Microsoft and Google. Let them duke it out in the market. And let the telcos build the networks that benefit all of us.

Re: The Daily Neut - Part II

Are you really surprised that the NYT doesn't "get" it??
