Hi to Charlie M. from east end mod Fitzy, went to E.L.sc rally at the weekend and it was fkn out of this world met up with the Ayr Aces and agood time was had by all plus Danny an old mate is a member, the only thing missing was a scoot for me, but im still looking,tried to get on this siteand invite you to drive through with me, hope to meet up sometime. fitzy (East End Isralites ya bass).

hi folks just got back online and seen the photos up on the site, they bring back good and bad memories, going to the olimpia in eastkillbride with the locals giving us greef and us giving them black eyes and such like, but wot a place the olimpia was, a great big ballroom with loads of room to dance, and music to die for (we neerly did) and the girls mmmm well tidy.
how about those east end partise, a 4 day party in peks maws f**k me that was exausting but great fun, do you remember those days partys galore, maryhill (keg's), port glasgow, moodiesburn, cumbernauld (?) and many more.

i remember my first night in the scene club i was about 15yr old, loads of guys on the dance floor outdancing the girls and not many girls at that, but wat got me was the sheer numbers of people cramed into it and the side rooms full of couples doing what couples do, the toilels were full with mods drinking and shareing pills of which a guy opend his hand to reveal a veriety of pills and told me to help myself, not wanting to be rude i took a couple, the next thing i know im rideing on the back of a scoot round george square, good memories ithink ?.

fan bloody tastic, love the music with the vid done me proud boys,the E.L.sc was terrific friday night live band (the skababs) saturday night live band played a variety of stuff, and upstairs was a room set aside with a dj playing northan soul for those who are dancers, i think there was about 100/150 people and sooters there but the run out had only about fifty, the rest where recovering i think, i know i was.

Does anyone remember paitsy from pennylee, hes the one on the right of div (rip) and mary in a green blouse and big beeds in one of the photos.

ide forgoten how much i liked secret afair, ive still got their single, time for action along with the lambrettas poison ivy, but my classic is called just a little mod bt terry tonic, charlie will be uploading it soon, its well worth a listen to.

I hope its better than friday street, as it was a bad start and got better as the night went on, dont know the dj's but who ever was first should be thinking if nobody's dancin i cant be playing what they want, because its not for them its for us.
next month will be better i hope, ps the ska tunes were great.

love the write up on mod shoe's, as you said the classic atire for mods was the desert boot, of which i've had loads throughout the years some better than others i might add but you still cant beat a good pair for scooting about in. I recently bought a pair of chiseld toe shoe's as i find winkle pickers hard to walk upstairs in, normally i would fall flat on my face with them, i've also owend a pair of jam shoe's but they never worn, got a good use out of them when two bikers tried to do me overe, boy werent they surprised when i attacked them with a pair of shoe's, and won i might add.
well thanks for the low"fer"down on the foot fetish of the mods.

i am not the bigest jam fan but is all this talk because the tribute band is playing through in motherwell, if so get yourselves there and enjoy them for what they where, a good band at the time.

never mind the kids are all right, we were all right on the night, fantastic is the word i would use, just looking at some of charlie's photos of the night brings it right back to my mind, and getting a back stage pass was the buisness, became a rodie for a night aswell, then esscorted the band to the pub where the melting pot crew did the music which was great, a pub with no dance floor got one that night and it rocked, hope to have many more nights like that.
