DCAU has Batman Beyond, BTAS, STAT, Static Shock which all are interwoven into one univeres.

The Batman was also very good which just ended its run

DC has Superman Doomsday, New Frontier and the upcoming Gotham Knights as direct to dvd releases.

Marvels problem is that it puts out crap like the Anime style FF cartoon which came and went fast

Now it has several future projects in the pipe line (Hulk vs Wolverine, Planet Hulk, Ironman, Black Panther ) that im looking forward too.

They seem to be doing a similar thing in the Incredible Hercules. Revisitng the mythological roots of both characters. Even if you dont read Thor comics its great as a stand alone book

I remember loving this show when I was a kid, but I'm having a hard time seing how they can keep me interested for more than a couple of episodes. Eventually I will get tired of the car gimmick of the week episodes.

Your they were Roots but I was just refering to the The Gift in the movie. I started to get into other Sci-fi shows like Lloyd bridges as a Admiral Caine and Louis Gossett in Stargate. But that could have gotten out of hand.

I think would prefer Demore Barnes from "The Unit". It is a action movie and if you ever watched the show you will know why he should play John Stewart. Plus I think he would be available at a resonable price, which is something people seem to overlook big name stars want to get paid which really drives the budget up especially in a film like Justice League where you have so many characters (this means no Bale and no Roth) Why do think the x-men stopped at 3 the costs were gettign out of control. Which is why they started a Wolverine film because you only have one star to pay.

I have mixed feelings about this because i wonder if the film would have gotten made if Angelinas name was attached to it. It not like Daredevil where Ben Affleck was the star attraction. Sometimes you need a star to get a film made. I think the real problem is the lack of black women who can carry an action film.

I think it Fox should get credit for trying more genere shows than anybody else. Which also means they are going to cancel more. At least they try. I would argue that they tattempt to air more genre shows than most networks. You also have take into to consideration, hat fox has less primetime programming hours than most than the big three Look at this list of shows.

Im curious as too why you think it should be shelved. I have heard the same thing in several places Where people want it put onthe shelf for 5 to 10 years. If you know how to fix it then why do you need to wait. The only justicfication for waitng is if you think that saturation is the problem.

I agree with you on how good AOA. The writing in the X-books has been sub-par over the past couple of years. Especially all the Xorn crap Grant Morrison wrote. I'm hoping this new cross over will bring back some of the AOA magic

I would prefer that they get somebody with an animation background. I think video games and animation have some overlap but somethings may not translate. An art director can make a film look really good but it still needs a great story
