Give me a nice writeup so I don't have to sit here for 15 minutes -- or however long it is; I didn't have time to finish it -- waiting for all of the animations to finish.

Re: Help! They are a great little buy if especially if you want record, and model effects. It's got a built in audio player in the software, so you can output it to your PA/speakers, and then play your backing tracks through the software (and through your speakers) along with your guitar with whatever tone you've got on it.

Also great is the tone library where users upload their own tones, so you can find tones to match whatever song your playing.

Last but not least is it's also got XLR and is a perfectly suitable mic preamp, and you can model different effects on the mic as well.

Re: Diving into Line 6 TonePort UX1 USB recording interface

Yeah, I think I had similar issues getting it to output via PC speakers.

As far as recording, in your recording software you just set the TonePort (TP) as the input device, it sends the signal digitally over the USB, which is cool by itself.

I would imagine getting it to sound through you PC speakers will involve setting your input device as the TP, and having your sound card as the output, but I couldn't figure how to get it working... I don't think the signal will pass from one device to another. the TP is essentially an external soundcard, so you need to get PC to input via one device and output the signal to another device... Not sure how to do that.

I think Line6 expect users record via USB, and output to a PA via the analog outputs, but I don't have a PA or decent speakers. I think I ended up just plugging my amp into the headphone jack.

Re: Diving into Line 6 TonePort UX1 USB recording interface

BTW, I just use Cool Edit Pro (now Adobe Audition) for recording. I just select input as TP on one of the tracks, hit record and go.

Re: Obama Forces Hyper-V to Reboot

That patch is not required... just don't install it. are you suggesting ESX doesn't require patches and reboots?

http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/s3portal....

Re: iminlikewithyou

OMG

Re: A Logical Approach to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and One World Government [NWO] Conspiracy

That is just it!!
