He was awarded "once" in 2002 serie A topscorer. Consistence my ***, only 15 goals in B division. The seasons for him was the second season with Juve and the year after Juve was relegated. You don't know why he isn't a starter for France these few years. Why was Anelka picked over Trezeguet? If Anelka isn't available, Trezeguet wouldn't even make starter anyway. Until now he's showing signs he's getting on form since 2001-2002 season. To say, he's isn't terrible goal scorer, a few season since his record top scoring, he doesn't have the ingredient of a great striker.

Anelka, if you look at his club experience and ability to score are only second to Thierry Henry.

dude, he probably did that in the training ground all the time, it works against Sporting, he has to be all happy about it? Besides from the free kick, the game could have been a draw. Not an exciting game by any means.

the goalkeeper sucks beaten fom that long way out on some of those goals.
