in Eggs, eggs benedict | Just Food Now on Just Food Now
I was looking for a place to eat Eggs Benedict on Saturday morning - ended up going to De Capo on Shortmarket street, Green Market, Cape Town. Not only did they not have, after telling us they do. They totally messed up everything. 3/5 people ended eating the rest either did not get their food or had to cancel it because it was wrong. Also, the 3 person to get her food, onlt got it 15miunutes after the 1st two had theirs... Totally messed up. Awful experience, I will never go there again.
This looks great btw :)

I love the fact that people contribute so generously to the posts! It makes for a truly inclusive read.

Yea, Justin you should seriously consider figuring out some sort of revenue model for some of your projects, even if it is only for sustaining them.

in Does the Digg Effect Last? on Marketing Pilgrim
I have a tiny blog in comparison, but I too have experienced the 'digg' effect.
Once a posting of mine was on digg, my hits for THAT particular day went up from approx 20-30 a day, to 150odd.
It helps in the short-run, however, the long-run is a totally different ball-game and an aggregator of this nature is purely a short-term 'marketing' tool. I suppose content also plays a pivotal role.

in Grabble.co.za is launched on Justin Hartman
Why do you not try and make Grabble searchbar plugins for blogs? Similar to the Google ones and then perhaps, a few South African bloggers might implement these into their blogs? With the option to search the blog or the web.

Hey Justin
I was one of the readers on uno's blog to criticise grabble's lack of transparency. However, it seems clear that you are funding it personally.
One question though. Do you really find text ads to be so overly intrusive? I have to be honest here, I really don't. In fact I prefer them. They are to the point because of the fact that they are PAID for. They are always relevant with regards to the search term.
I find it interesting that you have no profit motive for Grabble. With a site that had the potential to attract so much traffic, it would surely be wise to consider gaining ad revenue?
