in Does Anyone Use Chrome? on A VC
I use Chrome occasionally and I find it faster than IE, Firefox and Safari. But Chrome has problem displaying layout of some sites. So, my guess is it not fully compliant. I also like the bookmarking in chrome. As I am used to browsers with standard windows menus, the menuless interface of Chrome sometime feels awkward.

in Facebook Tutorial Part Two: Finding Friends on AllFacebook
Great tutorial. I have used the same technique and I can say that it works. I don't request for friend add if I don't see a profile picture. Also, I don't accept a friend request if there no profile picture. Also, keep the request to a small number 10-20 daily and in a year, you will build up a solid network.

in Entrecard on the market for nearly $1 million on The Inquisitr
Entrecard for Free Advertising. Is this the same person who started something like miilion dollar and wiki? Lots of bloggers (and some top one) last year opined that the so called wiki is the greatest invention since the slice bread. VCs are lining up. Hollywood is ready for a movie. Hmm! what happened to that site? It will be nice to check it out in Alexa

in 2008/06/12/social-media-delusions-of-grandeur/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
It is a new technology and a new communication medium. The impact of a technology on societal changes is slow. Change does not happen overnight. How long did it take for the press to be really free and influence the masses. Technology may be giving us the accelerating return on furthering the technology but it does not accelerate the societal changes. Society and human nature changes slowly.
A day may come when the President will use blogs or some other forms online tool (hey it is a better idea because all Presidents write books. Now they will already have lots of materials and feedbacks by the time they leave the office).
Just give it time. 90% of world poulation even does not know what is social media and you are expecting that it will change the world.

in EntreCard! - Are you a blogger? You need to get EntreCard now! on Zedomax.Biz Guerilla Internet Marketing Blog
Yes, another widget that tracks your movement from site to site. 2007 blog scene, specially the ones that talk about making money, resembles 1998's porn site scene. However, this time we have ajax, widgets, and videos. Large sites promote traffic exchange methods and all the smaller ones fall for it but eventually it only benefits larger sites without any effort and a few smaller sites that put a lot of efforts. Wonderful system. History repeats itslef.

in Web 2.0 or 16.0? on The Damaged Pixel Blog
Good analytical posting. But Web (i.e. World Wide Web) is different from individual items of inter-connected comouters, Internet and eventually Web that you have described.
For about six months we were inundated with how the people on the web were getting all involved in trying to help the people and to pressure the government to live up to their promises.
We are now how many years later? and we still have people living in motel rooms, we still have families seperated by great distances, we still have people living in areas of New Orleans that are disaster zones.
What happened to the flood of goodie two shoes - where are they now? .. where is the social pressure on the government to live up to its promises.
I typically use events and social situation with in the US where this whole social media is suppose to have started and I get slammed for picking on to narrow of a focus. Well I tell you want .. until you can effect change on the society on your own city block, within your own state, within your own countries bourders using this so called wonderful social media there is absolutely no point in trying to export it to the rest of the world because you have now "shining" example of how it can work.
