Hey, thanks for the hat tip in the Personal Development area. I know it took a lot to research all of this material and provide it for your readers... I've done it and it just about killed me! Thanks for doing it.
Anyway, good stuff on here. Keep up the awesome writing.

in They don’t use social media in my industry on Duct Tape Marketing
John-
I'm trying to heavily use social media to (1) build our CPA's exposure regionally and (2) offer great business content to our readers weekly.
And we're spreading out! We started in Greenville, SC 10 years ago and are moving into Atlanta, GA (two hours away).
Learning social media is fun, but it can also add great immediate business content for our readers and encourage them and help their businesses grow.

in Are we in a recession? on Scobleizer
Speaking for the small business, which I consult with in my firm, the recession may be a factor to consider, but it won't cripple the nanobusiness.
The small business is a resiliant model of operation, mean and lean, and can weather hard times.
Things currently look bright for our firm and our smart clients, as do the next 10 years. No worries here.

in The ultimate secret to business growth on Duct Tape Marketing
I agree with you, John.
Change is so necessary in my firm, as well. To continue growing, we always have to continue changing.
I, too, have written about change at my blog.
Thanks, Jason M. Blumer

in Friday roundup of stuff on Duct Tape Marketing
I wonder if using these online tools (that I'm not supposed to use) will help my local CPA consulting practice?
Will someone (anywhere in the US) hire a CPA from SC to do high-end professional services consulting, QB tech support or tax-related prep and planning? I'm curious.

in In house and on demand on Duct Tape Marketing
I've got the HP Color LaserJet 2600, and I couldn't say enough nice things about it.
It produces fabulous looking pages. Though the speed is not that fast, I typically only need it for a few pages at a time.

in Buying links is unnatural on Duct Tape Marketing
I'm trying hard to develop good content. Actually, there is plenty to write about... its finding the time to do it and run a couple of businesses at the same time. That's the hard part.
Keep the good SEO tips coming. It helps us new bloggers.

in Building strategic partner networks on Duct Tape Marketing
So interesting... I just posted another method of networking at my blog... by playing to your weaknesses.
Referrals are SO important. Managing that process is highly important and worth investing in.

in Scoble and Amazon’s Kindle Monetization Mistake on Sam Harrelson's Comment Forum
I agree Sam. The requirements of including social networking features in to future products is HERE.
Scoble's "social networking starfish" seems to be penetrating everything - from the way we receive information as it happens (via Twitter) to how we receive it after it happens (via an RSS reader, or some other sort).
I'll be watching your blog as you commentary on the future of information sharing. Good job.
Thanks, Jason M. Blumer

in Rosy Monday is Strategic Planning Day on Duct Tape Marketing
John-
I love visionary thoughts! At my firm, we set aside the first day of the new year to pass on my vision for the firm, short- and long-term (actually I just posted on this at my blog).
Your blog is great, and I appreciate the thoughts behind Rosy Monday (real visionaries make up their own holidays - pretty cool).

This social media starfish is intriguing. I'm starting a business blog on entrepreneurs, business startups, etc. I'm seeing some serious potential over the next ten years (with baby boomers and Gen Y changing stuff and such).
Thanks for keeping me up to date - I'm linkin' to you on my blog.

It was my pleasure to give you a head nod. It was a lot of fun, and I'd like to do it again...it's just hard to keep up with the list of comments...do you have any tips from when you did it?
Thanks for the compliment on my writing :)
