Not sure who told Hector the 9 runs off of the Central starter were unearned ( he didn't show till the bottom of the 2nd). I was there and 6 were earned runs.. I say this because I' ve watched my share of MVC games this season and I see in the trib the stats and they are way over blown.. I think the stats should be more realistic i.e a ground ball through a kids legs is an error not a hit.. or as in this article all nine runs unearned so the ERA isn't affected is wrong and makes the stats meaningless

My apologies Hector must have missed you at the start.
I misinterpreted the ruling. I thought when the error occurs on 2 outs any base runners are unearned. After that any new base runners that score are earned. Thanks for the clarification.
You are correct on the Wheeler kid who throws well( some bad breaks). Central has some big bats and are tough to get out the 2nd and 3rd time around the lineup. I think the kid from Andover pitched very well especially for being the 2nd time facing them.

Tragic. Our hearts go out to the family. Being in the neighborhood we were alerted that a little boy was missing as people searched for him. We were later relieved to hear that he had "been found" - only to find out through the news later on the tragic circumstances.

If this was actually a case of the coach grabbing a player by the shirt and holding him against the wall while giving him a piece of his mind - I'd probably give him a pass on that - if it was as earlier reported him throwing the kid to the ground - then I think that crosses the line.

Back in my day you didn't question or talk back to the coach as it sounds like this young man was doing. Many of the young athletes these days seem to think they are destined for the pros and know better than the coaches that coach them. Likely a product of their parents - who sit on the sidelines criticizing every move - lots of armchair quarterback parents out there who have never played or coached a day in their life, but are quick to pass judgement on a coach when their little Johnny is not getting enough play time, etc.

If the parents don't want to press charges - let it go. I imagine the coach is going to be watching his contact with the players from here out based on the press this has gotten.

Here is why we lost the war.
The stated objective was to prevent North Vietnam from taking over South Vietnam. While grossly over simplifying the matter, it's what the stated objective was and was ultimately not achieved in any sense of the word. There is one Vietnam, it is Communist.

The real argument here should be, why did we lose and why are we losing in Iraq? It's not the fault of our soldiers. It's the dumbass politicians that we keep voting for, Republican and Democrat. Vietnam was fought under Republican and Democratic administrations. If you think Fred Thompson is going to have the cure by carpet bombing Baghdad, wrong but if Barak Obama is going to have the political ability to pull every troop out of nook and cranny from Al Anbar to Mosul, you're wrong too.

The answer here people isn't about blaming each other. It's about blaming the salesmen we were suckered into voting for. We should not have voted for them but we didn't know better. All we can do now is learn from the past.

To you soldiers: You didn't lose the war. Every politician who put you there did. But ask yourself, was it worth your brothers life to be there?

The LAST time I was there, an older balding man was extremely rude to me and my date when we asked to be seated in a pleasant area instead of the congested areas he had suggested. Later we overheard him talking to the kitchen staff about those difficult customers (us), we decided to boycott this place for life.

This was the worst overall opening of any business I have ever experienced. It was supposed to open in the summer of 08'. There was a major communication breakdown between members and club staffers since the inception of the new club and it hasn’t gotten any better. This article says the club opened today but a trainer that I spoke to today said they opened at 4pm last night. Just another example of how poorly this branch of the company is run from daily execution to communication. That being said, it is a beautiful gym! Yes it will be crowded for a while until the polish wears off and all the new members and old members who don’t come anymore try to re-motivate themselves but in a month they will fade away like New Years resolutioners. All gyms are busy at peak times and this gym will be no different, but it is the best gym in Seattle. Hands down!

I had same problems with wordpressblog. Default themes always work. But custom themes can be a paaaain... Especially plug-ins can crash the platform. It has to do with unending string loops. I hope you get it fixed soon. Good luck!

Microsoft is not copying Kayak any more than Expedia and all the airlines are copying one another. You have to display departure and arrival cities, dates, etc. to function as a travel site. And Kayak's approach is not very "innovative"...creating a list is nothing new. Maybe Microsoft, Google and Yahoo should sue them for copying the search results format!

Great article Yusef, but whoah!!! most of it unfortnatlly wnet way over my head. I appoligize I just dont now much about Islam or Mosloms. Like where do you get the time to write such stuff!!!

I had a conversation with my older brother(idiot, red-state Republican-type guy) the other night and we got talking about the Iraq war(it was wrong) and one thing that kept poping up in the discussion(about the Iraq war) was how the US(and Britain) defeated Nazi Germany and look how Germany turned out. So that's thought to be an example we could follow and a reason for patience there. I told him he was a numbskull! This is a whole different situation ok. Germany has Germans (white Europeans) who knew what we were talking about when we tried to rebuild their country, whereas Iraq is a country of people who are of the Arab persuasion. You just can't compare the two okay! Not in terms of cultural traditions or how violent they are or anything like that. I say we must respect the proud Arabic cultural traditions of countries which have Arabs peoples in them, not try to defend ourselves against those traditions. No matter how difficult those traditions may be for us to understand, or endure. Only that way lies peace if you ask me. Haven't you also noticed that stupid righties just don't seem to "get" what we're saying about Iraqis being Arabs??

Calicium Carbonate (CaCO3) is no better for the environment than regular neoprene that the rest of the surf industry uses. Calcium Carbonate actually requires more energy to heat up than standard neoprene. Calcination of the limestone using standard equipment (pressure kiln or gas chamber kiln) will need to heat up to ≈850˚C or 1562˚F.

Standard neoprene, which by the way, already contains calcium carbonate, requires≈400 °C or 752°F. Now you don’t need to be a scientist to understand that the temperature is more than doubled in order to make this eco-friendly rubber. With more heat requires more energy i.e. fossil fuels, and with more energy means…more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. So…we may feel like we are saving Mama Earth but in reality we aren’t. For all we know there might be a huge hole in our ozone layer above Osaka at the Yamamoto plant.

But regardless of these facts, the blame is on the advertisers of Matuse. You could have just said, “The best neoprene on the market or even ON PLANET EARTH.” and I would have believed you. But don’t try and fool us when you could have done a simple Wikipedia search to understand the fundamentals of calcium carbonate or even standard neoprene. Do your homework guys, don’t let corporate salesmen (and women) sell you eco-friendly ideas just for the sake of jumping on the eco friendly bus. Don’t worry, Matuse hasn’t lost a customer, I will wear the suit until it falls apart…and then throw it away where it will take 7 million more years to go back to its state from which it started, calcium carbonate.

Whatever discipline you choose (we chose spanking for one, time-outs for the other), do it in love and immerse it in relationship. Relationship is what forms a child, not mere spanking or any other form of discipline. Parents need to be home to train their children not simply raise. isa4031, you have to at least talk with another guy you can trust and can keep you accountable. Ask your pastor for a mentor. I mentored a guy out of this just by being patient and sharing truth. Are you sure this is a good idea? We already have people coming over over borders illegally taking our services stc. You want your employer to negotiate the lowest wage he can get? I think that it's a statement by the rest of America that we care if someone can feed their kids. As for a totally free capitalistic society. Do you really want the money to keep accumulating at the top? Money makes money, if you extrapolate into the future you have most money accumulated into a few estates with the rest of America making as little as they are able to get. Also regulation of businesses on prices is already around and good for the country. If I have billions and buy lets say the 3 remaining oil comanies, you'd be ok if I raised the price on gas to 12 dollars a gallon ovewrnight? I am all for the estate tax repeal!!! I dropped out of an Ivy League school, I got into because my Dad was an Alumni. I drive a few real nice cars that you liberal losers have only seen in photo's and I spend my time partying and doing drugs with my other rich friends. I mean I never have to work an honest day in my life because my last name is the same as my Grandfathers and my Fathers, who worked very hard thank you so that I could play all day everyday. This is the greatest country on earth because we know that without the hard work of my granpa you guys would have the ******** you use every day. My Dad helped move the bulk of our operations overseas and so now we only have about 200 US employees, mostly lawyrers and accountants to make sure the Gov gets as little of our hard earned money. I mean really I buy lots of stuff and that's good for America, clothes, cars, vacations etc I even tip real good usually like 20%. SO stop your whinning!! If this estate tax relief isn't passed it's going to take a few zeros away and that could hurt my spending habits in a big way, I may not be able to afford that sports team I've had my eye on, I can't wait to be 25 so I get access to my Granpas trust he set-up for me, one more year! yay! Thanks for sticking up for me and my family guys, I know most of you don't have my kind of family money, but I really appreciate it.

I'd argue that Kubrick's work has as much humanity as Ozu, Tarkovsky, Kiarostami and Cassavetes. Strange that you don't lump Bresson with Kubrick; two directors who often (incorrectly) get touted as being cold and dispassionate.

As for Hitchcok and Welles- two directors you accuse of essentially being "heartless artists" that one "eventually grows out of- well, I guess I agree with that. I was never a fan of either, though I adore Vertigo and Chimes at midnight. But as you say, both directors are mostly celebrated for their technique.

because da tumour came back,,michael knew he was gonna die anyway so he decided to sacrifice his life for sara as she would be gone down for murder for 25 yrs and plus shes pregnant,,first he decided to break her out but the plan fails as they cannot open the door and the only option for them to get out and not get caught is for michael to take the wires and join them which would cause an explotion and michael dies in that exposion...i no its sooo sad im still grieving for my baby!!!!
