I've liked Barack from a communicator standpoint for some time. Ideologically, we don't see eye to eye. Do I really think it matters if he becomes president over Palin I mean McCain? Not really. I have a sense of hopelessness in the system and the process. I've also read to many books and seen too many films. Maybe we should just elect Arnold?

I'd be interested to know see how this has worked from the inside. I've been around the IC for awhile, gotten to know some folks there a bit, dropped off for a bit...yada yada yada....But the strategy excites me. I'd love to chat a bit more sometime.

In the years that we have known each other, I can honestly say that reading what you wrote in this post is probably the most Godly thing I have heard from you. It has been awesome to be apart of your (The Bristows) journey and watch your lives unfold. You've not been afraid to look foolish and follow God no matter who supports you and who doesn't. I'm blessed to know you both and look forward to getting to know the new additions to your family.

If I went to that church I would ask for my money back.
It is funny that 'liberal churches' never baptize anyone or see any lives transformed. I find it also funny that dude goes off for a bit about how NewSpring has 9000 people coming in South Carolina. He even seems surprised by that...but he isn't surprised by the fact that 9000 people is 1/3 of the town of Anderson.
Preaching the gospel to people really isn't love. Showing them the gospel is.
I'm guessing that Tony posted this more as a light hearted thing...I'm also guessing that Perry would probably have Guitar Hero every week just to piss this dude off. Ha. I'd even move to Anderson to be the Guitar Hero Pastor.

Hey man,
Glad to see that you have been mulling over the whole Lion thing. From what I gather, there is an underground movement of Lion Chasers out there.
Couple of things:
I shared this thought with Curtis awhile back: We don't always kill the lion. That doesn't mean that we fail.
The center of God's will is the un-safest place to be. Lions, tigers and bears are all part of that. Be who God is calling you to be. I have tried being who I call myself to be and it really falls short of what God has for me.

Like all these peeps said, Myspace is an excellent networking deal. I have caught up with tons of people that I went to college with and know from across the country. I started a Myspace for the church as well, its been interesting inviting people to be friends on that end...many different responses.
