Better yet, make 'em read Wambaugh. You can't make up shit that brilliant and compelling.

Re: Pilot Watch: Will Gattaca Miss the Point?

The Gattaca series is SUCH an appallingly bad idea. I have no faith whatsoever in Hollywood's ability to make something completely un-atrocious from it. It'll be like making a TV series out of Dark City. Rather than create anything new, Hollywood swallows its own tail, Ourobouros-like, spoor and all, on an annual basis, because it's being run by 27-year-old development execs whose last book read was "The Art of War" and who think reality TV is a pretty keen idea. </rant>

Re: June Gloom Series: Part 3/6: Vernon on eecue.com : Dave Bullock / eecue

Handsome. What kinda lens are you using?

Re: Change.gov goes live

Big points and kudos for reaching out so big and so fast. Demerits for not being utterly clear why i should give him my email address (apparently it's a mailing list) and there are a few bum links here and there, sadly: http://www.change.gov/newsroom/blog/

Still and all - let's hope the rest of the administration is proactive. This team has smelled like a buncha game-changers from the git-go. I'm very, very, very optimistic!

Re: American swearing

Au contraire, mon frere d'Angleterre - The word Fuck is EXTREMELY funny to us yanks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rX7-R54-Q8

The beauty of its wild utility lies in the controlled use of inflection to impart meaning to its plainly simpleminded middle-Ages roots.
