in too much to process on BibleDude.net
I imagine that a trip to Africa couldn't help but profoundly touch any American, Dan. We are SO blessed here. The poverty there grieves me deeply, especially where the children are concerned.
God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. I believe it is our responsibility to help others.

What a tender, inspiring post, Dan.
I can only imagine what you and Krista go through on a daily basis. It is difficult to understand sickness in innocent children (and many other horrible issues) this side of heaven, yet God is really speaking to you in the midst of it all. And granting grace.
I was just reading in my Smith Wigglesworth devo this a.m. Initially this great evangelist prayed for the ill in a somewhat harsh manner. After he was afflicted with kidney stones and other afflictions, he became more tender toward those for whom he prayed. I sense that same tenderness in you, Dan.

What a poignant, wake-up call of a post, Dan.
It always saddens me when the enemy makes inroads like this, and a young, promising life is wasted.
The good news is that Chris was apparently beginning to turn in the right direction, and making efforts by reaching out to one of our pastors. Thank GOD.
Still, the ripple effect continues. I pray God uses this tragic situation to awaken every person Chris knew.

in the truth about Jehovah’s Witness, part 1 on BibleDude.net
Hi Dan,
Very well said.
Several years ago two Jehovah's Witnesses arrived on my doorstep. Oh, how they are trained to argue. I was quite distressed at their level of deception. After they left, I prayed throughout the day, and the Lord told me that "the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power." (1 Corinthians 4:20). It was a relief to me to know that I didn't have to 'win an argument', but that God was able to show Himself to them.
I really like the Amplified Bible, because it amplifies out the Greek and Hebrew translations. I really get an in-depth understanding with it. Currently, however, I am reading the New Living Translation, which I like vey much.
Also, I like your point about knowing the credentials of who translated which Bible version. Actually, I always like to know the source of whatever I read, regardless.
Thus ends the longest comment you've ever received.
LOL

How'd they say it in Spiderman? Something like, "with great power (think blessing) comes great responsibility"...
