Remember that the game which used seemingly contradictory,(if that is the correct word), functions to achieve the required ends, was itself designed by an intelligence. And keep in mind that the most minute piece of amino acid functioning within a very basic cell came into existence against incredibly long odds, if evolution is true. That it might also have been used by that cell to perform some role necessary to its improvement on an evolutionary level seems to call for some higher or intelligent influence outside of itself.
