I'm so sickened by this story. Oh, why don't they just let us regular people dole out the punishment? I mean, we have stress to relieve and everything.

OMG. My officemates and I would go to Your Welcome Inn for lunch a lot. I can't believe we did. This was about 10 years ago and we always felt a little weird walking past the bar to get the the restaurant part of the joint. We tried to ignore the leering.

Brilliant and hilarious. I'm sure there's some ridiculous legal reason why they need to read the ones that are closed, because you know the news stations would much rather spend that time filled with ads.

Hilarious! And BTW, I don't count on my cats to do anything to save me. They'll stand on each other's shoulders to open the door themselves and leave me to fry, literally.

Geakz, glad you found one. I had the exact same luck. A friend told me to try a little place called Game Crazy. Off the beaten path kind of place. Made a call, said they had one and to get my butt down there. They were only going to hold it for one hour for me. As for the hubs and me, we're very awesome at Wii Tennis, and I've just started exploring Wii Fit. I have a lot of work to do to reach my goal, but it's a load of fun and the best gift we got for ourselves this year.

Ugh. So much wrong with it. The layout, the non-relevant results (still can't find my own blog listed, even with five targeted search terms), and the name is juvenile. Reminds me of "kewl." You can tell me all you want it's pronounced "cool," but that's not what it looks like. This thing can't go anywhere "as is." Needs a major revamp already.

Oh, Riayn! When I saw your post title, I immediately thought of Ramona the Pest and then I came to the blog and found a Ramona book! I loved the series. I think I saw myself in Ramona with all her goofy problems and foibles. I'm not sure I want to read one of them again, as now you have me afraid that it might ruin my lovely memories of it. I think I'll stick to what the 8 year old in me remembers. Thank you for posting this. What a great topic!

Riayn -- I based my decision to move to strictly humor pieces on the number of comments being left. It was definitely more on the humor posts. Another reason I switched to just humor is I enjoyed writing those posts more than anything else. I produce a better piece the more "into it" I am.

I started out having three niches: tech tips, language/linguistics, and humor. After a month or two of writing for this mixed bag of topics, it seems most of my readers preferred when I wrote humor. That told me to drop the other two and concentrate on humor writing. I do still think someone can do well with multiple niches, but I saw an increase in readership when I stuck to just one. Just my $0.02.
