Those Flip Cameras are sweet. I've used one for blogging needs for months.
Nice to Twitter with you btw.

As long as it is for marketing purposes, I don't really mind (behavioral targeting didn't turn me into an Adword clicker).

It's good to open te debate though, because the whole web industry is getting really excited at the idea to use more personal datas to increase their ad dollars.

Should online networks ask their users if they agree to such actions, kind of like a democratic voting system?

I'm actively implied in the creation of a Fb Group, and both your article and the one of the Marketing Sherpa are good.
However, they do not talk people's motivations for joining a group and the social strategies you need to set beforehand to make sure your group will be composed of the people you are interested in targeting.

I've really enjoyed this post. That's what I like to call a nicely wrapped crossblogs post.

I totally agree with Jon Nichols. One of Facebook's main asset is the trust we grant them for providing us a network of real and honest people.

Now just like in real life, you can always flirt with the forbidden at your own risks. That's part of the game.

in Online Marketing Community: Gooruze on Sellsius
Hi,
Good point about the non-marketing crowd. Actually, would they really be interested in losing time in a niche social network?
I wrote a post that briefly covers what top bloggers are saying about it: Gooruze: Yes or Yasn?

"People just like to hear smart people at smart companies discuss where they are going."
I couldn't agree more and started a blog with this exact kind of video features. Would love to talk more with you about this. Tx

Internet is a huge electricity waste factor. "Blogging for the environment" is almost an oxymoron (an oxymoron is two words, ya ya).
Blog Action Day Pollutes, user-generated power coming soon

JetteroHeller Xavier - that's assuming that you're using environmentally-unsound power generation, and not as opposed to the denuding of our forests to support the massive daily magazine and newspaper crush the planet still has. Ever lived someplace where they just clearcut all of the forests you just grew up playing in? It's pretty disorienting and shocking, actually.

Blog Day Action is nice, but how much power waste is implied when bloggers unite?
