in Michael Jackson's "Ghost" Spotted At Neverland | AHN on All Headline News
I think you are all completely lost in place that is not reality. You talk about him as if he is a living god. So the family put his daughter on stage and basically put the mic in her mouth prompting her to speak. If any of you knew about troubled, abused children you would know that most sexually abused children blame themselves and not their parent that is doing it to them. They still love their parents. These kids were so sheltered who the hell knows what went on..
All I know is that he was accused more than once. If you are innocent of child molestation and you are a super celebrity as MJ was would you not have done everyting in your power to clear your name? NOT paid the family hush money?
Karma caught up to MJ. The king of pop died YEARS ago. This was just some perverted old man.

in Republicans to Propose Financial Regulatory Reform - With Absolutely No Teeth on The Washington Independent
Ms. Kane, if you weren't such a nagging do-gooder who thinks with her emotions instead of reason and logic, you would realize that the financial crisis (as well as the housing crisis) was caused by government interference into the private sector, and no government regulator or official saw it coming. No "systemic regulator" for "systemic risk" (there is no such thing, unless you are talking about government, the only force able to intervene throughout the system) is able to prevent crises. You have offered no evidence that such an entity would be able to prevent crises, because there is no such evidence, and you are not concerned with the facts anyway. This is really all about your hate. You hate banks, capitalists, and anyone and anything that is a great wealth creator, and you desire to smash them. You don't care what's good for the country. This is really all about your desire to indulge in destruction of the people you envy.

in Poll: What would make you switch from Netflix to Blockbuster? | Bob Caswell on Bob Caswell
Blockbuster Online Experience
I cancelled my account, removed all DVDs from my queue, and returned all movies within the specified time period. Blockbuster Online, a week after I canceled and with nothing left in my queue, sent two DVDs without my knowledge. I did not request the DVDs, and I never wanted to use the service ever again. I have now been charged for the two DVDs forcibly sent after cancellation.
I only used the Blockbuster Online service for two months, and I cancelled because of extremely slow service, and missing, incorrect or broken DVDs. The Blockbuster Online website shows an Internal Server Error when I try to make contact, and when I call, I am put on hold for over 20 minutes only to be disconnected. Now almost two months after I cancelled, I have to deal with unauthorized billing because my financial information is still on record. I have to change all of my financial information at my bank because Blockbuster states that it is impossible to remove it from their records.
Do not use this service.

in Are Professional Women That Intimidating? on The P.O.S.H. Life
Soooo....since I have heard this argument/comment waaaay too many times over the last year, I thought Id weigh in on it. A) I love your blog, you come up with good topics:) B) I think while there are some guys that are intimidated by women who make more money than them, the argument of "b/c I have a career and I am single, must mean that guys are intimidated is ridiculous. I am hard pressed to find any guys in my circle that are running away from any "professionals". They are however, running away from jerks, loud mouths, arrogant numbskulls who use their degree as a replacement for a personality, C) Finally, the sad truth is that the numbers are so skewed that even if every "black professional man" was perfect (ie not intimidated by "professional black women"), there would still not be enough to go around. And to me thats the real issue that really is being ignored in this conversation...I will now get off my soapbox...thank you for the platform..lol...

in The Plight of the Good Woman on The P.O.S.H. Life
“YES WE THINK ABOUT MARRIAGE BUT DAGGONIT WE HAVE NOT DECIDED T MARRY YOU!!! BUT IF A GOOD WOMAN HAS CHOSEN YOU SHE PROBABLY IS THINKING RELATIONSHIP.....AND NOTHING MORE UNTIL YOU MEASURE UP!”
You can scream until your voice is gone, it will not change the fact that while Good Women might think discussing Marriage is blissful the concept is foreign to men in general. Men typically don't put much thought into what they want in a wife, until they start searching for one. Then they look in their past and say I want a woman who can cook like XYZ, clean like ABC, bedroom like QRS. That equals the prototype.
Women tend to think about marriage in some shape or form as early as childhood, while with men there is a tendency to push the Marriage topic to a back burner until needed. To prove my point all you need to do is simply ask men to discuss what that want in a wife, if the guy puts together sentences and can talk without going into circles for 2 or 3 minutes you know he has put some serious thought into it and chances are he is looking for a wife.
A woman talking about marriage is added pressure on a man, although you might be talking in general terms to us that brings with a level of expectations that you have from us, that we have not even began to process yet.
Back to the Job Analogy.
Good Women are putting in the applications (along with others), and men are accepting applications and decide instead of rejecting outright, they would go through the interview process just in case a special one is in the pool of applicants. While they are not actively looking to hire anyone and for the most part it is a charade, the men continue entertain applicants dragging the process along until they make a decision whether to offer her a position. Typically there is no time line for making decisions as the employer is receiving benefits without hiring.
No keeping the head down and writing Thank you letters is not what a GOOD Job hunter does?
A good job hunter will research the position that she is applying for. She will do background on the organization and determine if she feel that it is a fit. Before applying she would scope out the marketplace trying to figure out who she is competing against for the same position. She would make reasonable salary demands (benefits she receive in relationship) and BEFORE THE INTERVIEW SHE MUST BE ABLE TO ILLUSTRATE THE BENEFITS THE COMPANY RECEIVE BY EMPLOYING HER,

in Cal - Arizona State Report Card on Bears Necessity
Good read. FYI, it wasn't a lapse by Syd that led to the TD. It was Cattouse at safety. They were in zone, and Syd stayed with the guy till he went deep, at which point Cattouse was supposed to pick him up. He reacted terribly late, and then took a bad angle. The main camera angle didn't pick it up, but on a couple replays you could see it.

Nice call. I'll try and edit that into the report card.

I don't like it sorry. From the screen shots posted so far its like you just replicated the current free aim app, chucked a few chat portals, a few features and put a price tag on it. You should of done something more original or like aresinferno said: more consistent to the current iphone GUI.
I'm still looking forward to seeing this in the app store tho

in Police probing drug overdose on Nashua Telegraph
To whom it may concern: as a friend of those involved I believe that this information has been skewed in the way to make it seem more "pulp" and attract reader. For what reason other than to make those involved look like villains, would you comment on their attire? Really? Is stating that Mr. Lewis was wearing "lime-green laces" that important to the situation? The answer is no. Report the news, and don't try to form your readers opinions by adding in "facts" that are by no means important to the case. It's a tragedy what happened, and to "report" the incident as you did is just irresponsible without knowing everything.
I'm not planning on changing your minds, but this is for your audience. Your readers that are not getting the entire situation because it's better in your eyes to beef it up as opposed to just stating what happened.
All this article did was make two good people look like filthy drug addicts, which is far from the truth.
Shame.Shame.Shame.

in SC Treasurer Ravenel Busted for Selling Crack on Sam Harrelson's Comment Forum
..but you can’t hide.
If Ravenel is convicted of distribution of cocaine, he can serve as much as 20 years in prison. I would say that it is more likely that he will cut a “plea deal” to serve a short amount of time behind bars along with probation.
If Ravenel cuts a “plea deal”, in other words, “pleads guilty” then the Feds should insist that he roll over on a “Bigger Fish” If he does not roll over, then he should do some serious jail time with the rest of the “Cocaine Distributors”.

The federal mandatory sentencing for first offenders is 500 grams or more for a 5 year mandatory sentence.
Under SC law 44-53-370
between 400-500 grams of cocaine is a mandatory sentence for first time offender of no less then 25 years and up to 30 years.
Gee… I wonder why SLED bowed out… (f’ing snark)
SLED investigates and brings charges, Ravenel gets 25 years… FBI investigates and brings charges, Ravenel doesn’t meet mandatory sentencing.

How about the other local politicians and well known dignitaries that played in the snow with T-Rav. I noticed that the P&C has very little about this story, jeez I wonder why. Who are they trying to protect. I hear this story hits close to home with them, those in the know, know what I’m talking about. The party in the battery, the hidden cameras, those who flipped and mentioned names. A good investigative reporter could have a field day with this story and probably sell a screenplay. City Paper and The State-keep on top of this story because you own it. The P&C doesn’t want to get dirty with this one.
