I just switched from Bluehost to Media Temple. I had outgrown the shared hosting plan I was on at Bluehost, who served me well for over 2 years, and I was considering their next plan up. Before I made the move, I checked out a bunch of other alternatives and found the grid server approach of Media Temple fit my needs best and for less money. Check it out:

OK, so I subscribe to the blog in Google Reader and the podcast on iTunes.

The last Iberian wine tasted is still open but it is not a good one, I'm afraid... I found it at a store that is usually reliable on somewhat of a close out for $9. It's from Juilia Roch e Hijos, "Casa Castillo", Monastrell, Jumilla 1999. It looks fine in the color department but has the dirtiest barnyard nose I've ever encountered. The black cherry and spice flavors are not too bad and there is still some life ahead for this wine but something really went wrong here. I scored it a 74 and will write more about this wine on my blog soon.

Well done, Joel! Definably worth the wait.

Guess I'll have to check my bags on the way out west next month since I'll be packing a Prairie Fume for you. Last time I had it at the winery (10 years ago?) it was pretty nice... for Seyval Blanc ;-) Perhaps it's better now but it's in most stores here in MN.

Nice write-up but it had me wondering if the tasting fee was $10 or they had poured you another couple wines, you would have given them 4 corks. Seems they did everything right and the wines you did taste were solid so I was wondering if that extra cork was value related?

I think you are on to something here, but Podshow will need a lot more than Cali to get them to their exit strategy. I am not optimistic in their chances unless they drastically they change their business model. Whatever happens, it will be interesting to watch and blog about.
