in Surprise hot handset that we’re filming next week on Mobile Industry Review
E75, alienware edition. Levi branded. CECT manufactured. Sorry. That made no sense. Why does it have gills? I've never seen buttons like that. I was hoping for a clue in the exif but nothing there. Ah! Dell branded HTC satellite phone with 1080P video recording. hrm. Zunephone on windows mobile cloud seven. nah. I feel sad I've only had two nokia S60 devices. doh! LG fishomatic 3000 with vinegar dispenser. That's it.

in Do you really need 16GB on your handset? on Mobile Industry Review
If I did not have two Cowon devices with me every day I would fill my E51's 8GB easily. Currently I have one or two lossless albums, music sync'ed via Nokia Multimedia Transfer and a couple Divx encoded DVDs on the card. I'm hovering around 4GB. Possibly if my generic A2DP headset did not sound so terrible I'd retire my standalone devices. Lets see if that ugly little tube changes my behavior.

in It’s all kicking off with Android on Mobile Industry Review
If it looks like the touch pro yes. If it looks like the prototypes we see everywhere then no way. Well, maybe if it's easy to compile vpnc I'll give it a try.

in Yammer on Mobile Industry Review
I think our North American Security team will flunk it. So far just myself, counsel, head of marcom and 3 R&D guys have joined. I generally only post screenshots and mobile events to their blog where it was mentioned and I've never seen analytics so it's tough to say if 5 or 50,000 are reading my posts soooo maybe yammer is better. At least I know who's following me and my crazy rants. I have one follower. haha. Getting people involved is really though. Nobody at our family of tech companies seems to actually care about technology. 3rd screen, much worse. Maybe if we had an internal laconica install I'd see a bit more collaboration interest. Seems like a great idea if you have the right people, or understand how to light a fire under their slothful ass[es].

in SiMo, a Retrospective on Symbian in Motion
When you started, I felt nobody else was actually doing in-depth coverage of what makes S60 so incredible, the software library. I'm very sad to see this site go. Yes, I love dotsisx / Symbian Guru but honestly almost nobody else is producing original content.

btw- I enjoy your BGR contributions.

Zach Thanks Eric - I'm glad to hear you say that! When I started the blog, that was a very big reason. I found tons of blogs that recycled each other's news but very few that went deep into individual applications in order to show customers the many, many possibilities that apps might afford them.

As I'm sure you've noticed however, I haven't had time to create in depth posts like I have in the past and that was another reason for closing this blog - no time to create the kind of posts I wanted to create. Hopefully someone out there will pick up the slack. ;)

in I’m off to Beijing soon… what should I take? on Mobile Industry Review
A little stovetop coffeepot because the local stuff is terrible. When you see the ladies selling the thing that looks like a giant egg roti get it! The fermented red date tofu on it too if your stomach can take it. I think the name is something like jen-ming-gwa-za. Man it's incredible. Sometimes all you have to say is "ebay" for an 80% discount. I stayed in Yizhuang, around the 5th ring on the south side, last year. It's beautiful. Technology? If needed you'll see a China Mobile kiosk before you exit the Airport. I never noticed if the prices are inflated.

in Bit's and Pieces - Official Theatrical ‘Wanted’ Movie Trailer Looks... on Bit's and Pieces
Went with the lady and kid. Lady hated it, the kid and I laughed a lot. It's ridiculous to the point of being a comedy.

I like tofu... and SiMo... and my macbook... actually i'd like to be able to turn off the tv when the inlaws crank CCTV up to ELEVEN. I'd also like someone in the united states to ship the FJFKSAJKSA E51 for 300$

Your SMS will never get to t-mobile subscribers in the USA. A lot of people have the problem and your offer to send another SMS is useless. The solution is simple. Give up on SMS.

I cant seem to create an account within the Player or the native webkit browser on my N80. Guess I'll have to try again when the beta is updated. When I hit the submit button nothing happens.
