well at least BN keeps Federal, so it won't be so bad. hope they buck up and do a better job

voting PKR is like voting pas anyway, since we all know anwar has no spine and will do whatever makes him look good only..

we are all selfish. i am under no illusion that once the tables turn, "equal treatment" will mean "all those people who aren't already well off can die" and "i dont care if you could benefit from getting uni place, as long as i got more spm credits than you, which i do cause my parents can afford private school for me and send me to america if i want to, it's mine mine mine"

some people can get along just fine with no aid, that's good, but some people have to be helped. even babies hold on to something when they learn to walk.

And this, is why BN will win even if they don't cheat... DAP just wants to take away, BN at least distribute the patronage..

what assurances do i have that once the NEP is stopped there will not be discrimination against malays? once the NEP goes every private sector company will suddenly have "must speak mandarin" requirement, or blatantly "chinese only"

once the quotas are gone, and the malays all fall back to lower income and lower middle class, the new DAP-ruling class will go "but thats your fault you stupid lazy malays, work hard or starve?"

fuck that noise.

no, i think i'll defend my quotas. it's the only thing protecting me from reverse-racism.

oh please. you seriously think pas and pkr are going to abolish the NEP? GTFO. and you think pas is just going to smile and nod every time your beloved dap starts making noise about malaysia being secular (and it's not. article 4, READ IT) ?

.. and yes, keep on talking about migrating, and how things are better out there and how you've made your fortunes outside.. the umnoputras will just cite it as evidence about how disloyal "those people" are and convince the makciks and pakciks that they, and ONLY THEY, can protect their wellbeing and prosperity.

I'm an umnoputra and i hate KJ more than you can imagine, but if you think he's horrible because he's a racist, you really are naive and need to read more newspapers. You don't even know how hishamuddin was mocked and ridiculed even in umno circles because of his keris-waving antics now don't you? i bet you don't.

as for hindraf, have you any idea how stupid those hindraf idiots were? congratulations on breaking up the sense of unity of purpose bersih forged. thanks to their open letter to gordon brown, you've just united umno against a common external enemy, given them someone new to hate instead of their internal struggle over the softness and incompetence of the wak dol regime.. bet you didn't know wak dol's nominees for the umno supreme council got mauled in the 2006 party elections didn't you?

my point is, the opposition has proven itself adept at self-sabotage, better than what the bn media machine could do (look up "harakah effect" ) to smear them. enjoy 4 more years of this, watching from far away america while we have to put up with this shit IN OUR FACES

in It’s ok Dreamhost, we didn’t like you much anyways. on smarticus-blog

@ bryanl, by “isn’t quite the right answer for our domain” you mean the domain of making web applications? Which Apache serves up handily for most other languages. In fact, I’ve never heard this “Apache isn’t a valid solution” in any other language but Ruby but I’m willing to chalk that up to my lack of experience in those languages.

Also, “Shame on the ones who think that everything must fit all the time.” I’d think that people who think VPS is the fit for Rails every time must garner the same amount of shame, right? Right?

Isn't it a little hypocritical to criticize a host for complaining about Rails not playing nice with shared hosting only to assert with such hubris that you need to be running on a VPS to use Rails? Let's not get too kneejerk about defending Rails that we overlook actual problems. Not that there's a Rails problem here but actually an Apache + Ruby problem. Before you kids get on yr high-horses and state that Rails demands some flavor-of-the-month leet web server, let me point out that we are one of the few communities that thinks Apache is _always_ the wrong answer. [And yet we wonder why they think we're nuts sometimes!] The Dreamhost post _never_ says Rails sucks, or is broken, or is a bad thing at all. It raised valid points about how difficult Rails is to manage on shared hosting. Our "outrage" and inability to see these points makes us look stupid. I agree with DHH's post that this isn't Rails fault or even responsibility to fix but our reluctance to accept that there _is_ an issue here is asinine. And in the current maelstrom of criticism surrounding our precious niche language, we could stand to not bring further criticism on ourselves.

If you think a VPS is a cheap solution for starting out... maybe you are as blind as your arguments would lead one to believe. Rails isn’t rocket science. [Isn’t that one of the biggest hypes for it? That it makes everything simpler?] So suggesting that top-tier hosting solutions are the first steps for hosting doesn’t make sense.

in XP & 2000 users that use static ip\’s in one office & dhcp in another office | Windows networking | Tech-Recipes on Tech-Recipes
Yes you can add a DNS address with the following line.

netsh interface ip add dns "local area connection" 172.16.0.1
netsh interface ip add dns "local area connection" 172.16.0.2

It will add each additional dns entry behind the other two. To change that you can specify where you want the dns entry to be placed with the index option. So if you typed in:

netsh interface ip add dns "local area connection" 172.16.0.3 index=1

Your dns entries would look like:
172.16.0.3
172.16.0.1
172.16.0.2

Hope that helps.

Does anyone know how to use the netsh command to change a dhcp address to a static address on a remote computer? I have tried the netsh -r <computername> int ip set address "local area connection" static 172.16.0.100 255.255.255.0 172.16.0.1, but it returns
The following command was not found: int ip set address "local area connection" static 172.16.0.100 255.255.255.0 172.16.0.1.
