So Feinstein isn't annoyed by torture, just the undercutting of her (Congressional) power by keeping Congress in the dark about the new program. Love it.

My friend in Alaska says the Lieutenant Governor was picked to pacify conservatives, in other words from a liberal/progressive standpoint he's worse than Palin. Another friend in Alaska says some Alaskans are pissed at her for disappearing and not doing basic governing (people where handing out "Where's Sarah?" buttons at folk fest.

California makes the service stations give you free air and water if you buy gas (often a convenient time to check tires, anyways). But, it's a hassle, like sometimes they turn it on from inside the office and usually don't give you enough time, and one time it took a while to get the guy to turn it back on (he left for something) which makes a couple quarters seem easier.
