in Old Chevy Truck on Hawksdomain's Photos
You know -- there's a truck very much like this in a pasture along Hwy 25 in Greenville that I've been meaning to (and tried yesterday, but traffic was too heavy to get a clear shot from across the road) get a photo of. There are horses and long horn cattle in the pasture with it and I just thought it would make the coolest photo -- the rusty truck with all that verdant green around it.

Very neat photo!

hawksdomain OH YES! The truck with the animals would be awesome! If you ever get that pic, please stop back by and let me know where I can see it! :)

in Performance I Snooker Title on Tip Tail
Congratulations on the leg and title! That's great!

We are our own worst enemy when it comes to visualizing success at whatever endeavor we try. It's really hard (unless you're one of those egocentric people we all love to hate) to make yourself believe in your abilities. You always tend to second-guess yourself.

Best of luck to future trials I hope your self confidence increases with each positive aspect of a run whether it be one good jump, several obstacles in a row done properly or an entire run done well. Each one should bring you some level of knowledge that you know what you're doing and your dog is performing well.

Cynthia Blue Thanks Margaret... yeah, we are our worst enemy. Hrmph. I do hope that my confidence grows. Chase has so much potential, he's an amazing dog, I could see him going very far in agility. If only his handler will keep up!

Sorry -- I must have been clumsy with that -- I *meant* that if you don't find Monkey Chapps funny you must be a Ron Paul supporter.

in Page Rank Is To NoFollow As Google is to ______ on SU Comments
Actually, I see your PR as 3, so you must have gotten re-ranked recently.

Also, one thing I've discovered is that even though this is essentially a one page blog, Google likes you to have a site map. I don't know if you have one or not, but if you don't you probably should make one. There is a wordpress plug in that will do that for you and keep it updated.

What beautiful cards! I would almost be afraid to play with them as surely it would ruin their beauty.

This certainly looks like it could take some banging around! Price tag is pretty hefty though! And it looks like it weighs a TON!

Gary -- your new logo is fantastic! Even to the favicon! Inspired! Now you need to revamp your ECard with your new logo and look!

I can't wait to see your photos of the Great Ocean Road -- I'm traveling the world in your photos and loving every second of it.

in I Segreti di Londra - Corrado Augias on Blog from Italy - Life in the Living Museum
It's interesting how we look in the eyes of someone from afar. We all take preconceived notions of what the world is like into our daily lives. When we encounter that which is different and unfamiliar, those notions sometimes get in the way of building new relationships and learning new things. You appear to be taking yours in with an open and inquiring mind!

Try memory foam pillows -- or better yet, a memory foam mattress...those work GREAT (take it from one who has had experience!)

I also use and recommend this plug-in. Gives me a peek into my readers worlds as well. Sometimes I don't have time to read everyone's blog, but this way I can see their last post and those who read comments on my blog can see it as well -- a mini feed reader if you will!

Good luck -- love the wacky things you've found.

in Erased on Scobleizer
Yeah -- that happened to my first blog on Wordpress. Gone in a flash an no one there would answer me why or if I could get it reinstated if I removed whatever it was they thought was wrong with it.

That's when I went to paid hosting and do backups of my blogs, website files and all those other bits and pieces that make up my digital self.

Sorry this happened to you, Robert. Hope you get satisfaction someday.

Best of luck to you, Robert -- you are a talented guy and in this day and age often talent goes unrecognized and unrewarded.

While I don't comment often, I do read your writing and find a lot of inspiration here for my own humble stuff.

in Why bash Microsoft and not Nokia? on Scobleizer
Well, well, well.... ethics and Microsoft vs Nokia providing "hardware" with "software". What a moral dilemma!

Those of you who are saying there is this huge difference don't know cellphone technology (or are ignoring the facts). Both a cellphone along with the laptop have software installed in order to function. While Microsoft may have been soliciting bloggers responses to the software portion of the gift, and Nokia was soliciting bloggers responses to the hardware portion of the gift, they both provided essentially the same stuff to the bloggers i.e. that which was required by each to get an even-across-the-board review. I'm not sure Vista would/will perform the same way across all computer hardware configurations, so providing the laptop was a way of ensuring that all reviewers were reviewing the exact same thing.

I agree with Scoble that the key here is that disclosure is made by those reviewers that their products were provided by the "mother ship". From there, it's up to the reader of said review to take the review's pros and cons with whatever faith they have in that person.
