Looks like an "old school" vending machine.

in What’s the difference between San, Sama, Kun, & Chan? on Tofugu Comments
I`d probably use -san for everyone.

What does "-chin" mean? Is it just a cute variation of "-chan"?

in Oops. Time to Start Treating this More like a Personal Blog on BoxedTofu Comments
For me as an European 20$ isn't that much right now. But worst case I'll have high shipping costs and tolls to pay.
I like the Boxed Tofu best because it looks cool. Although I really like the normal Tofugu, the current cut-in-half Tofugu is missing something.

in Mario Kart Blues on Rocking in Hakata
I totally agree.. I started playing the DS Version of Mario Kart in the morning and in less than 3 hours finished the game. Only once did I not come in first, even though I never played other versions of the game.
But during multiplayer mode you can change the difficulty level.. at the hardest level me and my friend can't win yet.

in Japanese Textbook Review: Genki I on Tofugu Comments
I skipped Genki I and just bought the 2nd Volume and I like it so far...
Anyway, there's something else about the new tofugu layout that bothers me (just a tiny bit).
Could you add the name of the author of an article next to the headline please. I remember when I read an article and just assumed it was written by koichi... poor Erin.

koichi Great Idea. I just added it to the new theme. You can see it next to the date after you click on an article.

in Japanese Online Translators: They Laugh at You on Tofugu Comments
Shame on me but I totally agree with Lolipop. Last time I had to use one was in august. I made an reservation for two days over a booking system and two days before my departure I noticed that my reservation was made one day too early (because i forgot that i was going to leave on the 22nd but arrived on the 23rd in Japan).
Anyway, booking it was easy but canceling over the system wasn't possible. In the end I had to write an email to the family. But my vocabulary wasn't advanced enough. My Japanese friends weren't online...... I confess: I did use a translator! *sob*

(Apologies for any typos or wrong word order... my English is getting worse day after day. - Just in case someone is trying to say i used a translator this time.)
