Oh and I saw Simplify mentioned up there in your twittertalk too. It's a pretty cool program, but I'm the only one I know who is using it. It works pretty good streaming my stuff, but of course I have it all loaded onto my iPhone already, so for now it's useless to me.

in A whole lot of TV… in the new on Moogaman.com
I don't really watch all that much TV on the interwebs, but I do watch a lot of youtube content from youtube personalities. What I would really like personally is an a la carte option for cable and satellite where I could choose a certain tier, like 30 channels for example, and then build my own channel package as I see fit. There is SO much garbage that I have never even flipped over to on TV. I think channels knowing that they are now competing for your subscription would help them maintain awesomeness, and weed out the lame stuff.
You know, it's funny about the 'blu' thing. I sometimes catch myself typing blue that way, same as I used to type singular as 'cingular' when I worked there.

Anthony T. The a la carte option is one that I am all for, but really, I would want to take it a couple steps further. Why not a la carte the shows that you want to watch? I know that I don't watch every show on a given channel, so there is still some money wasted there.

My idea is that you have an HTPC that acts very much like your current cable or satellite box. You go through the list of shows, pay for them, download them, and watch them when you feel like it. You don't pay a monthly subscription, you just pay for the show you want to watch. The system could be set up where you rent the shows for a small price, but only get one or two viewings before it gets deleted.

There could be huge potential here.

I ended up playing GTA4 for about 5 hours last night while only intending to goof around in Liberty City for a short amount of time. It's easy to lose track of time in that game.

in 3G Rumors Afloat on Moogaman.com
Hmmm. I dunno.
AT&T is launching their big fancy MobileTv service in 2 days, which is sure to be a data whore. And, they plan on launching a Garmin GPS/Phone hybrid in the 3rd quarter that is a very iPhone-like device in aesthetic and features, and it's 19.99 a month for unlimited data and GPS service.
I don't think they'd be too worried about recouping their subsidies on the iPhone specifically, since that's typically what they do for every phone they offer. Sure, they expect to make it back in voice and data subscription services, but the iPhone is simply joining the club if it's now subsidized as well.
Both of those things taken into account, I am not too worried that all our iPhone hopes and dreams will be dashed, but it is AT&T we're talking about here.

Very cool. We just upgraded to CS3 at work and I now have flash, which wasn't in our version of CS2. I have to have a flash project completed by the end of the week and damn, it is confusing the hell out of me. I've never touched the program before yesterday. Maybe you can give me some pointers this weekend.

I saw the trailer too. I'm very excited. I think Ryan and I are going to go see Jumper Sunday, and they are supposed to have the trailer before that movie, too.

in I’ve been watching TV on Moogaman.com
I can forgive the whole inconsistency of the new terminator being a bit too human on the first episode, but what really really bothers me about the new show is Summer Glau's birthmark/scar/mole/whatever-it-is on her left eyebrow. Every time I see her in a scene I'm distracted by it, and being in high def only makes it 10 times worse. Am I crazy?

This isn't really related to things you've liked recently, but I just wanted to let you know that when Ryan or I try to access your blog from our respective computers lately (using IE at least) the site crashes IE when it is loading. I dunno why.

Hey Tony,
What is that at the top of your new header? At first, I thought it said 'DVD', but then, it doesnt look like a DVD. Then, I thought it looked kind of like an old school Atari. I'm so confused. Aaahhhh! :)

Hey, stupid me, I changed 'hate' to 'dislike' before I even posted the first comment, then posted a comment about how I shouldn't have used the word 'hate', and now I have to post a comment about how I'm stupid because I don't even remember what I typed in the first place. I'm going to shut up now:)
But hey, on the bright side, I singlehandedly helped quadruple the comments on a single journal entry :)
