You just happen to think you are special enough to bitch endlessly about it.

these representatives are required to ask for your name, number and social. if they are required to go through troubleshooting, then they are required to go through troubleshooting. If they are required to say the CEO is their boss, then they are required to say so.

What makes you think your problem is more important than their jobs?

Re: Mars Hill Church featured in NY Times Magazine

I realize this thread is almost dead, but I have to get in here.

Stu says:
Everyone pays those taxes. I shouldn’t be taxed if I choose to worship or practice a religion. Taxation on a religous institution is a government sponsored incentive to NOT go to church, and thus, breaking seperation of church-and-state.
--

I'm not sure I follow your logic here. Everyone pays those taxes -- yeah, so why don't churches then? Explain to me the reasoning behind your statement that taxes on religion would be "government sponsored incentive to NOT go to church."

Re: Chase suspect admits, ‘I was stupid’

It was the cops chasing him that endangered citizens.

I'm glad this ended well, but it could have just as easily ended up with an innocent person dead. Police: Stop chasing people in populated areas, unless you know for sure they are a threat to public safety. A stolen car is not worth the risk.

Re: Historic bell tower hit by taggers

There used to be a code of "honor" if you will between taggers and graffiti. Basically, you don't writing over anything that took more time than what you are writing. So you don't tag over a mural, or public art installation, or a burner (an elaborate graffiti art piece), or even a throw-up (bubble letters or whatever, takes more time than a tag)

I can have respect for good graffiti art, but these taggers are ruining public art like the Henry truck, the Greenlake underpass, and now the Belltower. It really, REALLY makes me angry. To the point where I will probably lose control if I ever catch one of these bastards.

Re: Historic bell tower hit by taggers

It would be nice if someone would at least cover it up with something until they can remove it.
