So, how are we going to know when conditions on the ground permit the Iraqi government to take full responsibility for their country's security? What about our country's security? Who is keeping our country secure while our troops are securing Iraq? And what part of they want us out of Iraq don't you and the Bush mis administration understand?

Campbell Brown and Cindy Cowley and Dana Bashwere doing the same thing over at CNN. They kept talking about the "warm " welcome he recieved, like they were surprised or something. I bought fell out when they played the clip of him talking about Martin Luther King Jr. They coveniently forgot to mention that he voted against the King Holiday and only recently apologized (flip/flopped) for that vote.

Maybe they thought Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan would materialize on the stage next to John McCain screaming THE CHICKENS............HAVE COME HOME........................................TO ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST.......while the NAACP audience mean mugged and cheered them on? Campbell Brown and Cindy Crowley are kinda ridiculous.

Reverend Wright is not a racist. TUCC is not a racist church. Obama didn't exactly "walk away" from TUCC, he was chased off by the racist right wing bigots and the right wing media drove the get away car.

Obama needs to be an equal opportunity "tough on folks about responsiblity". He needs to get tough with the racist and the bigots. He needs to get tough with the corporate media and get on their case about "this responsiblity stuff".

Barack has been so tough with the corporate media, it's hardly interested in presenting his case with any objectivity anymore. Do you watch all the cable news shows?
Not to mention the "liberal" print media. There isn't anything right Barack can do now that he's the "front-runner" (underdog, really).

Before Obama can "get tough with the racist and the bigots", he firsts needs to explain why he spent 20-years with the racist Rev. Wright, and in the racist TUCC. Walking away from them, after the fact, was no explanation at all.

Throwing more money @ a war isn't the solution. The right would RATHER spend money for bombs than books, that's messed up. President Obama will fully fund No Child Left Behind, so that it won't just be a campaign slogan but a reality. The reason righty's don't want the populace to be educated is for the same reason slave owners didn't want the slaves to learn how to read, write and count. Knowledge is power. They don't want the populace to be educated because they will have power. There is nothing more dangerous than ignorance in action.

Recently, Cindy has changed her demeanour slightly. Probably in response to Michelle's rave reviews after "The View" appearance. I sense a degree of snide competitiveness in Cindy...no way can she let a black woman beat her.

i'm gonna go so far as to say that NONE of the msnbc crew wants to see obama win. that includes keith o. and rachel. rachel seemed to be very pro-clinton way back in january, feb., early march, and was visibly CRUSHED when it was apparent that barack was gonna get the nomination. look for her to be more negative as the months drag on..as will keith.
i'm glad that their reporting serves as a slight contrast to the negative from everywhere else, but i wouldn't confuse the issue. WHY does keith find it necessary to "call out" bill o'reilly (someone whose program i'd never watch) on a seemingly daily basis? it's basically free publicity for FOX. i see that hour (countdown) as an appeasement--an attempt to distract from the extreme 24/7 media bias in mccain's favour. one little hour out of the day is like throwing a hungry dog a bare bone. sure, he'll take it, but damn.

Booky...a candidate is the presumptive nominee, until he actually gets nominated. McCain is the GOP presumptive nominee.

Barack Obama is the gift that will keep on giving.
I want to say this about black fathers and responsibility. I can count on one
hand the number of fathers I know personally who aren't taking care of their
children, Obama's father being one of them.
I believe the number of responsible black fathers out number the slackers.
I also believe the question should be asked why some fathers aren't being
responsible. Is it because they are products of failing public schools and
have no education nor skills? Is it because they have a felony record and
can't find employment? Is it because the illegal immigrants are taking their
jobs? It's easy to talk about what people are not doing, but that doesn't
help the situation. Let's talk about solutions to the problem, not the problem.

But how does any of this have anything to do with Obama trying not to be African American? I don't think Obama ever said all black fathers are slackers. I know Obama never said he wanted to distance himself from the African American community and from what I know three of the biggest joys in his life are his African American wife and children. So maybe he says things that some people don't agree with but in no way does that make him less African American.
When are we going to get over degrees of Blackness? My God, we are a huge diverse population and should not be judged of one mind. And no matter what you think of my, Obama or any other African American's opinion you and no one else in our community should be the judge of just how African American someone else is.
