Didn't notice Mee-Again supporting Sammy when she was having issues with the bike riding. Nope, Mee-Again stormed off, desperately trying to get into second place behind Sean and totally ignored Sammy.
Seems the friendship only works in one direction, when Mee-Again needs the support.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is her method of making sure mummy dearest gets through. Hold Sam back and stuffing around on the bunjy thingo. Give enough time for Julie to build a good gap and make it to the finishing line before Sam and Meaghan. Meaghan knows she can beat Sammy at kayaking as Sammy isn't good with water and is scared of it.
Meaghan KNOWS she will beat Sam in and will chose (she thinks) the better calorie food and Sam will be eliminated. Well, that's her plan - we all know it doesn't quite work that way.

in TBL Australia 4×52: MAKEOVER DAY!!! on The Biggest Loser Recap
That was probably the worst makeovers of any of the series. Andrew's hair looked like he'd been attacked by the first year apprentice in their first week of training with a pair of blunt paper scissors. Some men DO look better with beards, Cameron and Sharif for example. Sean didn't look any different except for that dead furry caterpillar he had glued under his bottom lip. With Julie, all they'd done is blow dried the hair away from the sides of her face. Tiffany looked no different. Meaghan had the length cut off it and that nasty black back hair bleached to that god awful white. Sam had this odd dead dark brown mess on her head.
The men's clothes was pretty boring and the girl's clothes were all very dreadful and very unsuitable. It was obvious that all of them are still fat and none of them have the legs for short dresses.

in TBL Australia 4×50: Blue face elimination for their very first time… on The Biggest Loser Recap
Yes, alliance. Julie, Meaghan, Cameron, Samantha, Tiffany and Bob are all part of an alliance that has been running since day dot. It was always going to be Teresa or Sean who would be eliminated this round.
Fortunately though, singles is coming up, which may get rid of the more useless members of the alliance, but I'm not counting on it.
If any of the stronger non-alliance players goes under the yellow line with an alliance member, that non-member is going to go. So Sean, Sharif, Andrew are all looking to be in trouble.

I still reckon Cam and Sam are playing a very clever game. Losing small amounts of weight and just enough to keep them in touch with the leaders. Have an alliance to protect you during the couples and team section. Suddenly we all get told that they aren't 'eating right'. And lo and behold! It goes to singles, the yellow line reappears and Cam and Sam suddenly start losing the big numbers as they finally 'get their diet right'.

I agree. I definitely think Cam's playing harder than anyone. They're both playing the "I need to be here" card at every opportunity which has definitely saved Cam on more than one occasion!

I too started out liking Teresa but she's beginning to annoy me I think she might be a bit snakey and manipulative in that sneaky way. Also found out that she does all that spirit bothering. When Sharif's brother or something died, Teresa got in touch with Sharif and told him that she had been in touch with the dead brother and did all the messages from beyond the grave garbage. She claims to be psychic.
I have never really taken to Sharif. He is always a sanctimonious twit. He acts like he's so full of his own importance and everyone must wait for the eternally wise Sharif to pontificate on a topic before they are allowed to choose a course of action. I dislike the way he talks over people and drops his pearls of wisdom before his adoring subjects.

in TBL Australia 4×20: Purple vs Yellow? Clearly purple is superior! on The Biggest Loser Recap
We saw the bit where Cameron gives Shannon a gentle shove - that was on Tuesday night. The bit where Andrew damages his leg appears to be happening some time during this week's programme. You will notice in the header photos on the official site that Andrew appears to be using a crutch and the top of the crutch is visible under his right arm. Haven't seen anything coming up regarding Bob and the oxygen mask. Also there's a bit where what appears to be during a Challenge Sammie is falling off a narrow beam across a pool and we certainly haven't seen that bit yet. There's another piece of footage during this of someone else falling head first into the pool but I am unable to identify it apart from it being male and by the look of the legs, a younger male of average height.

The pool is Friday's challenge. ;)
I keep thinking we've already seen Bob and the oxygen mask and just as quickly I think that that was when I was still getting confused between Bob and Cameron. :D
Bob's got to somehow fall below the Yellow Line in order to get eliminated I think. I'm not sure Nathan and Andrew would actually pick them on Monday, if the choice is theirs. Sean and Ben seem a virtual certainty...

They wouldn't care in hospital, so long as it doesn't get in the way they're happy with whatever. And it beats having your bum hanging out the back of the robe!

in TBL Australia 4×09: Race around the Fatties - Now with less mooseknuckle! on The Biggest Loser Recap
It was silly - its actually a 6.6km walk from the Pier to the Airport. Did the TBL crew pick up the teams after a certain time? It would have taken some of those teams a good 2 hours to get to the Airport, then add in the 2.5hour boat trip and the at least 30 mins rowing (or 2 hours as we have been told for Teresa and Sharif) That makes it at least 5 hours. The one and only Virgin plane that leaves Cairns that they could have caught leaves at 1pm. (the other leaves Cairns at 5am and the third arrives in Sydney at 10pm) That means they would have had to start on the beach at 8am at the very latest. No, these people weren't exhausted enough to have just done a 6-7km very hard walk/run.
When you look too, whilst they are on the beach prior to the rowing, the shadows vary from long (early morning - maybe 8am) to quite short (mid morning - maybe 10am) The shadows when they are boarding the boats indicate the sun is almost directly overhead (midday). Therefore, the could not have done the trip to Cairns, the 6-7km run/walk to the airport to make a 1pm flight (On Saturday, this flight leaves at 2pm but I still fail to see how they could do the sailboat (2.5hours) and the run (absolute minimum of 1 hour) in under 2 hours.
From all available evidence, I'm willing to bet that this whole race from Fitzroy to the Airport was filmed over 2 days.

They were all on the same plane, when they had a shot of the brothers you could see pink hats sitting opposite them. I'm thinking maybe they timed how long between each pair and let them leave Sydney airport in those intervals?
Mythor
I expect they picked them all up at one point, Cairns airport may not have appreciated a bunch of people running into the airport with backpacks on. ;)
Trying to work out the plane time is a fairly fruitless endeavour. Given that they had 18 Fatties plus probably Ajay, maybe Michelle and Shannan and who knows how many crew? I expect with an offer of a Virgin plane appearing on the show it wouldn't've been too hard to convince them to put on an extra flight or change the usual schedule, etc.
Two days wouldn't surprise me though. It's probably not super healthy to go from intense exercise at sea level to cruising altitude in a plane back to intense exercise at sea level all in the one day. And I doubt Virgin wants smelly fat people taking up half their plane!
Either way I don't much care. Run fat people, run!

in TBL Australia 4×08: First Elimination - Tania and Ramses or Holly and Mel? on The Biggest Loser Recap
There was no need to reveal the other 3 votes as, as Mythor said, as the team with the lowest percentage weight loss, if there is a draw, then that team goes home.
Also, if any of the 3 remaining votes had been for Holly and Mel, then they would have been revealed before the last team vote which gave Tania and Ramses the 4th vote. They would have done that to increase the ''drama''. You can guarantee that everyone except Cam and Sam voted for Tania and Ramses.

in TBL Australia 4×07: First competitive weigh-in plus results of the challenge! on The Biggest Loser Recap
Ramses and Tania will go. Its the sensible thing to do. None of them want that Gold TARGET bracelet back in play so early. Much better to get rid of a heavyweight team with a lot of weight to lose between the two of them and one of whom is male, than two lightweight girls who have already shown they are lazy and quite simply don't have the weight percentage to lose to be there at the end. Much better to surround yourself with lightweight girls than 2 hefty lumps who one day might get their act together and actually put some effort in.
Mythor
Both girls - Holly in particular - put in fairly respectable numbers for their first week, given their relatively low start weights. Holly lost more than the heavier Sammy, for example. But with such low starting weights they were never going to get the percentages they needed, it just doesn't happen, particularly not for women.
You're spot on with them not having enough weight to lose though. They're likely to have one or two more significant drops and then it'll be 1-2kg most weeks. They won't be hard to vote out in a few weeks time. But the real question is whether any of them are actually smart enough to work it out?

Apparently they are coming back to Sydney fairly soonish - after all - the new resort opens December so they don't want the fat camp in residence when all the young and beautiful turn up and it will take them a week or so to turn the gym area back into a luxurious day spa. They are going to be quartered in the old Artillery School complex on North Head in Sydney. Quite an impressive site I should imagine. Thats where the basement shots with the butch looking redhead and the kick bag are from.

in The Biggest Loser Australia 4×01: Couples edition is a go! on The Biggest Loser Recap
No, they are going to be showing them in the lap of luxury because this was filmed in a new resort complex before it officially opened for business. The whole idea of them being there is a contra deal to drum up business for the new resort. The surroundings are nothing more than a huge advertisement for Fitzroy Island Resort. Expect to see lots of luxury surroundings shots and long, lingering sunsets and sunrises and underwater stuff. Fitzroy Island is renowned for its underwater activities and snorkelling. Back before this resort was built, it was a sort of national park where you could rent out basic one room cabins or pitch a tent. A good and extremely cheap Reef holiday for families. Dunno whether its family affordable any more though.

Probably depends on the family? ;)
They're not staying there for the whole season, believe they come back to Sydney at some point. Probably once they've been whittled down enough that they can fit into whatever Sydney housing they could afford this year.

in Biggest Loser Australia 3×68: Week 11 Elimination on The Biggest Loser Recap
To get to what would be considered as a good average weight to height ratio for each of them:
Garry needs to lose 36.4kgs and will have a % loss of 49.08%
Alison needs to lose 19.9kgs and will have a % loss of 50.70%
Sam needs to lose 10kgs and will have a % loss of 41.79%
Kirsten needs to lose 12.2kg and will have a % loss of 44.79%
Bryce needs to lose 8.7kg and will have a % loss of 38.94%
Given that they have one more weighin to go and then a minimum of 6 weeks at home, its probable that Sam, Kirsten and Bryce will reach these goal weights, if not exceed them. Sam could easily drop a further 5kgs and be on the same goal weight as Bryce (Sam is only a couple of centimetres taller) which would bring him to 45.02%. Garry will struggle to drop 36kgs in 7-8 weeks, thats 5kgs a week. Alison needs to drop 20kgs or around 2.5-3.0kgs / week and it will be tough for her but I think she can do it. Kirsten could also drop a further 5kgs and that would bring her to 48.74% and around 2kgs a week.
What it amounts to though is if the three Blues get through as has been heavily rumoured, the Finale is going to be extremely interesting and I think it will come down to who goes under their goal weights by the most. It could really end up being a battle between Kirsten and Alison.

in Biggest Loser Australia 3×41: In which Michelle eats a sammich. on The Biggest Loser Recap
I've thought for a long time that the weights each contestant is said to have lost is very suspect. It wouldn't be too hard to decrease or increase the weight loss for all members of a team by half a kg to change the results. Its become even more obvious this year that the weighins are a tissue of lies and specifically for 'drama'.
I expect that Black will lose weighin this week - after all, they haven't had to face an Elimination yet and I'm expecting this will be the last week of Teams. I also expect a female will be sent home to even up the male/female ratio for pairs. This will leave them with 8 players or 4 male/female pairs in the House for next week and the usual double elimination that happens in the first week of pairs.
This won't leave them enough players to finish off their elimination round and go to the Final Three or Final Four. They need another pair to enter or re-enter the House. I expect this will be a 'romantic and drama charged' team of Michael and Sheridan.
The reason I think Blacks will lose weigh in though, is that they need even male/female ratio and currently its 4 men and 5 women in the House, they can't afford to lose another man from the mixture. Its pretty obvious that Kirsten and Alison would vote out Sam first. It would also make the most sense for Reds to vote out Garry first as he is the biggest threat to win the competition. If any team is strategic enough to see where the dangers lie, it is Reds. The only team who wouldn't vote a male out would be Black team and I'm not sure which of the girls they would vote out, but I'm betting between Cariane and Michelle, it would be Michelle as the bigger threat, although Bryce does seem to have a 'special' relationship with Michelle.

I'm going to suppose here, that nobody has looked at Sheridan's video diary where she quite blatantly says that if she has to flirt and be the little princess to get ahead in the house, then she will. To get ahead and to stay in the game, she is prepared to do anything.
Now, who wants to take bets on how genuine her 'feelings' are? I'm guessing she realises she is on very shaky ground not only in her own team, but in the Blue team. There's very little love lost for Sheridan. I'm prepared to bet that as she and Cosi have such an enormous dislike for each other and Sam and Garry actively dislike her, then she has gone outside her team looking for support and hoping she makes it far enough into the game to be able to use it. Both John and Sean have previously stated a dislike for her, so that just leaves poor innocent dopey Michael.
Apart from Michael, I think the only person in either team that has any sort of liking for Sheridan is Nicole, who is equally unlikable.

They won't vote Cosi out - yet. Garry is the more obvious target. He has a lot more weight to lose than anyone in the game. Cosi, however is the fittest of the two and has a low amount of weight to lose in comparison. They can use his strength in Challenges. I don't think at this point, either of the men will go tonight. There is a preview showing Garry as an anchor in a tug-o-war and we haven't seen that yet. Also rumour has it that Cosi finds out his fiancee is pregnant whilst he is in the House, this hasn't happened yet either. I think it will be Rachel who goes.

in Season 3, Episode 13: Week 2 Weigh In. Will Red fight back? on The Biggest Loser Recap
Mythor, you think Nicola and possibly Nicole are there for the weightloss, I beg to differ.
Sure Nicola is a pretty girl and will be quite attractive when she loses the weight. I think she sees herself as this seasons Fiona and will lose enough weight without making it her number 1 priority. I believe she is after the post-TBL money making opportunities and yes, she will have to lose some weight to achieve this, but she wants the 200K and the career opportunities post TBL.
I don't think she can be trusted. She agreed with Cosi, Garry and her dear friend JJ, that she would vote as a bloc with them and remove Rachel. She and JJ apparently had a close friendship. However once voting happened, she knifed JJ in the back and voted him out and proved herself unreliable with her promises. She has since stated that she 'could never write Rachel's name on a piece of cardboard' and claims to be good friends and a roomie and loves their late night chats. We get another preview of Nicola basically stating that she has changed her mind and will be voting against what she had already agreed to.
She has also said she will do whatever it takes to stay in the game. It is more advantageous to her to get rid of Rachel and give the Red team a better chance at Challenges and weight loss by hanging onto Garry.

I reckon they will take the risk and dump Garry. All the girls on Red team want a girl, preferably themselves, to be the winner of TBL08 and would see Garry as a major threat to them. I believe they will take the chances at losing Challenges, knowing that eventually, once they get rid of the Red boys, that it is likely that the producers would balance the teams up again by moving 2 of the Blue team's boys over to Red. They would then be able to get rid of more of the boys. Whilst they have 4 girls in the team, they form a pretty formidable voting bloc.
I don't think the primary concern of any of the girls in Red team is the weight loss, I think they are motivated by the $200k and the opportunities of being the winner of TBL08. I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw them.
