I think Obama deserves a huge chunk of the criticism he's gotten. He pushes the immediacy of certain legislation (stimulus package as the biggest f-up so far) and then turns around and says give it time and he's only been in office a very short time. That's a lot of BS.

He has betrayed his promises but then all politicians do. People are idiots for voting for someone believing all that crap and, unfortunately, a large percentage of his voters did just that.

I think the title of the post is misleading. Evolution is "just" a theory. It is, however, backed up with butt loads (that's a scientific term BTW) of evidence supporting it.

That doesn't change that Ron Paul is and has been a nut job, right up there with a certain consumer advocate who ran for prez a few times.

I'm sad about the over 50% of the voters who believed in change.

Not exactly a surprise here. His motto of "change" was BS but so many bought into the hype. He's an ambitious politician who lied his way to the top spot and now we'll all suffer his bad decisions. Of course there will be benefit from the good ones as well but so far his stimulus bill was poor as was signing the budget as-is.

It was more of a sucker punch but Cramer should have known what he was getting into.

Stewart really should stick to comedy and stop trying to be serious because he gets pwned all the time when he's up against someone who can actually debate the topic at hand. Of course, Stewart's serious question that gets a serious response from the guest gets interrupted by Stewart with a joke and then he throws another serious question at the guest. It's just like the hearing in congress where they just want airtime or to belittle the person/group they brought in.

While I'm no fan of AT&T (the company), my service in the Bay Area works great. Everyone I know on Verizon has plenty of problems and complains about their shitty service.

At least I didn't hear the "muscle confusion" line here :-) Yeah, I saw the infomercial and it was pretty easy to find their pitch line. The infomercial is also filled with those natural athlete types who let themselves go so their transformations are going to be a lot quicker than the endo- and ectomorphs (that you'll find more likely in tech)

I also found a lot of comments that you should be in pretty good shape to begin with if you have any hope of keeping up with it (and therefore sticking with it). I found some other comments recommending the older P90 (maybe it was just called Beach Body) program and was going to keep my eye out on ebay or craigslist for someone getting rid of it.

@shane - NPR did a piece on him last week (maybe the week before). It focused on his rise in Chicago. Basically, he got started by throwing his mentor under the bus by challenging her (and his other opponents) signatures on the nominating process. IIRC, this left him smooth sailing into the state senate. At every step of his career, he only aligns himself with those that he will benefit politically.

Obama scares me because you don't know what you will really get and I really don't understand why people take him at face value (he's a politician and a lawyer!). At least with Hillary, you know what you were going to get. Pretty much the same with McCain (although I have a little hope that he'll get back to the y2k McCain).
