in #383 - Fang the merciless on Lint
Brutak yes but lucky for Sangwine this wound will take time to kill him. Zedwig risk to be healed and there will still have time for Sangwine to be rescued. Maybe not by Bactine but the other are in their way.

in #371 - Somehow Fang always wins, even when he loses on Lint
He kinda responsible for it. The artifact he uses to control Zedwig mix them together ( http://www.purnicellin.com/lint/2008/08/19/0819... ). I think that Fangline insanity ( http://www.purnicellin.com/lint/2007/10/16/1016... ) partly taint Zedwig. In the sixth panel, I bet that Fang face the dark side of himself that he puts in his puppet. Also, I doubt that Zedwig will survive really long, If the dark magic or the civil war don't kill him, his new insanity will.

Zedwig is right. He said that this is the last time but I bet that the next time his people rebel against him, he will force his mage to kill again. It's better to end it now before the elven become just a thing that we talk in the old tales.

in #360 - Choosing the Better of Two Fates on Lint
My guess is that Hope change her appearance to fit more to Xylic. She can't annoy as much Xylic if she still have the "barbie" that she use on Sangwine. Personnified nightmare need to be unique for every customer.

Falco She doesn't act as "Barbie" anymore either.
I haven't decided if it's a good thing or a bad thing...

in #347 - You just don’t mess with a fairy on Lint
I don't want see him kiss her. I want her do it again. Also, she's partially wrong. He opened himself to Bactine and let her come under his shield. Sangwine also had some opening, he trusted him enough to talk about his past. He protects himself against loneliness by opening his heart to the ones that earned his trust. Hope is just not inside this little circle of close friends.

Falco Haha, me neither, but then I've been rooting for Xylic/Bactine right from the start...

colbycheese Actually, she's spot on! Xylic never, in so many years, has told Bactine how he feels about her, and is still extremely guarded with her although he does accept her into his very small circle of friends.

He does love Sangwine, though, in a familial way.

Fairies, being immortals, have the ability to perceive things others can't. She just plays it dumb most of the time, because wise people tend to realize being underestimated is the best policy.

Hope hasn't done anything that Xylic sees as making her worthy to be in his "clique". Also, the fact that he thinks she's after him makes him put up all kinds of spiky shields when he's around her, as he's always done in the past. He hates female attention, yet longs for it, and those two aspects of his personality can't seem to reconcile themselves. The fact that Bactine has always been extremely ignorant of Xylic's attractiveness had a large part to play in why they are so close, because he has never felt his seclusion to be threatened by her.

PLUS, as was explained by Hope some time ago, she is immortal and just plain doesn't have romanticism in her, along with a vast plethora of other mortal feelings and trappings, which is part of the reason why she's harder to identify with than most of the characters. So the kissing is moot. Too bad Xylic doesn't know that; he might like her more.
