no that’s not it, I remember it was like, a defense against aliens type thing, and you had to build walls and towers and all sorts of other things to keep them out. There were sentries to shoot at them…and stuff, but command & conquer is close."

An old game called Utopia comes to mind. It was more like a SimCity game, but with the added bonus of aliens constantly harrassing your ass.
