My brother had this to say the other day:
"I don't listen to voicemail. If I wanted to talk to you I'd have answered the phone. Since I didn't, I was either busy, sleeping, eating, didn't have my phone with me, or anything else that would keep me from talking to you."
People can call back if it's important.
My wife will text me during the day. This allows me to view at my leisure, keeps her from feeling like she is interrupting me and by nature, forces us to be *concise*
I would prefer an SMS list of things to pick up at the store on my way home to view once at the store, than having to wade through voicemail. An SMS *with* a photo of my 3 year old is even better!

Dr. Wendell - Thanks for weighing in. This was my suspicion when I was poking around their site. Thanks for the link with details. This kind of thing really seals the deal on my reasons for NOT storing files online.

Oh, by the way, disqus.com - the site that hosts my comments IS working on Gravatar incorporation. So anyone who has a gravatar will see their picture instead of the square-head non smiley face thing.
