I had a situation some years ago involving my grandmother. She had just passed away from triple terminal cancer[meaning she had terminal cancer in three organs] and things got deep, back then I walked in a lot heavier faith then I do now. God had used me a good deal at the time as a prayer vessel for healing. My uncle was emotional and pleading for me to pray so God would bring her back....

I did not as I felt I should not....bring her back to what...painful fight with cancer? take her away from the presence of Christ? How selfish would that be?

Anyway....just some thoughts.....

when i first got real with God...I threw out my television because I was sick of the garbage that had helped keep me in bondage to the world[in hind site i also see how it keeps us trapped in the empire mentality as well], went years without it...then started having kids and it ended up back in the home....now here recently it went back into the trash heap...one cannot win with trying to only watch what is "good"...the filth is everywhere now....

Hey man I am in a similar boat my friend. I was active in ministry for about 4-5 years and then got burned, abondaned, and kicked to the wilderness....THANK GOD FOR THE WILDERNESS...out there I began asking questions...ones I had been wanting to ask...because what I learned in my "denom" about what the Bible meant, was no longer adding up in the face of reality..but then I got a little scared, or confused...I went back to that false gospel...maybe for comfort...not sure...but then they burned me again...left my family broke and basically homeless...so I broke...and walked away....now I am striving to come back...thru that path that leads thru the wilderness...the only place I have TRULY known Christ....

the more i think and blog on these very issues the more I am convinced that their is indeed "not at all" one specific way...I think people need to look at themselves and what they are good at, and try to affect change through that, I am good with Creative writing and film...so I am working to use those skill sets for change...evanglism is no just let me go out and "talk" about the Bible to people on a street corner or church building, etc and blah blah...its a 24/7 lifestyle man
