Andrew,
I hope only the best for your father and your family. This is just one more example I the utterly disgusting disregard for anything but the financial bottom line held by so many in the corporate world.
I'm forwarding this to all of the medical researchers I know in hopes that they perhaps have some insight.
If it comes down to it, break into the clinic and take the drugs yourself. If you can't find a Doctor to help you, they shouldn't be in medicine in the first place. "First, do no harm." should not be an empty oath.

Wolf Ollins should be barred from any and all design associations, this thing is just horrendous. All fluff, no substance. Paul Rand was paid $200k for his NeXT logo, why the hell would they pay these guys $800k?

I've been looking for this kind of analysis of IILWY for a while now, and this article nails it. Great post.
My beef with IILWY isn't the concept– I think the idea behind it is novel and interesting– but the execution.
The site is horrifically schlow, uses all custom widgets, and breaks some fundamental interface rules. Why is it beeping at me? Oh, because its switching pictures... Isn't beeping supposed to be saved for times when I actually need to be alerted of something? Beyond the obvious gripes, the site is still pretty darn buggy.
Its come to the point where I've stopped using the site. Maybe if they get their act together in the future, I'll re-consider.

Wow, this is dispicable! Sites like Engadget should be the role models of responsible blogging!
