Video is online marketing at its most powerful leverage: your message burns deep into the viewers consciousness because viewing video is fun and is perceived as fun, therefore it breaks through the psychological barriers a sales pitch usually falls up against.

Re: Tool Time Friday | Any Web Developers Out There?

Hi! Great tip: does this work well for other FTP packages? Is there any it doesn't really work for, or is it a good all-round tool for many applications? Thanks :)

Re: I’m a Conversation Artiste in this Digital Age.

Sure is a lot of authors, no wonder the green eyed monster ate you up inside! This could well be naive of me, but, er, wouldn't it just be simpler to publish a darn good book under just the one author, ie you? If you don't fancy the time and expense of self publishing, just create it as a pdf file and upload it here (preferably as a free download) as your very own ebook. Because all us onliners will be charmed and read your work avidly.

You could simply put together a whole string of posts or articles you have written in the past. Or write it on "How To Create Your Own Ebook" or anything like that. Or something different!

Re: Groundswell Interview with Charlene Li

Charlene, I really focussed in on what you say to identify the activities of the older and senior Boomers: only 8% and 5% are actively creating blogs. Well, this is very interesting, a very small percentage when you consider these age groups have more experience to write about, more time to write and possibly more contacts. Firstly, what age groups do you truly believe are out there creatively blogging, and secondly, how can we in marketing zone in on these older and senior bloggers for profit potential?

I mean, you say these are readers of blogs, so might it not make good marketing sense to actively promote goods and services to these Boomers through the dynamic new medium of blogging?

This really sparks off a new wave of thought for me, in that I should be aware of the age-groups I am promoting to, who my readers really are, and also both how to attract the Boomers as keen readers and what to market to them!

I do believe blogging is quickly opening up huge new fronts of potential for small, medium and large companies to actively promote their products through the relaxed and therefore very powerful medium of blogging. This will be my main area of focus in the coming months. Thankyou for highlighting this as yet almost untapped goldmine online!
zowoco marketing xxx

Re: Tips on Content Centered Link Building

I love your Pink Floyd The Wall reference and remember that scene where the teacher is circling the table well! It is this interaction of two key concepts that marks out today's blog marketing from yesterday's cruder internet marketing. Content enrichment and linking to increase search engine optimization is by nature a far more beautifully subtle approach than the old plan of throwing flashy banners at similar sites.

I feel we have yet to see blog marketing and bookmarking strategies really come into their own: increased use of video presentation and testimonials will herald a new dawn, as will increased sharing and interaction between bloggers allowing for a more poignant community of comments linking to other posts and comments and increased sharing of blog posts and related articles.

As I research blogging, I like to comment usefully, bookmark the site, and then, if I feel the blog has real interest I will refer to it in my own blog posts in the hope that over time the blogging community as a whole will interact on a much more giving and profound level.

At present people tend to click into a blog, read a post and leave without comment. Emailing the blogger is good practice also, to share tips and tools, arrange an ad swap or a reciprocal link, or to write guest posts on each other's blogs. Be bold, bloggers!

Re: BIGLIST SEO Blogs Update 050908

I like this idea! By the way, here in Wales we have just bypassed Spring and gone straight into a hot sweaty summer! We had snow too about three weeks ago but now all the summer insects and migrant birds are out and about so I think that's a good sign!

Will go grab your badge now1
