I don't understand why the boots are "fashionable", But I will say however that the ones in the links of "Hollywood starlets" are just medieval boots, and, assuming you won't be on your feet all day, are some the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn in my life. they're like cool, breathable, leather socks, with a soft rubber sole. Crazy comfy. They do however look retarded with modern clothing. Lol.

Also, don't mind me, I'm a crazy medieval history/re-enactment dude, guy, thing.

I noticed this the other day myself, I've been studying on my own for a few months now, and I haven't made to much progress, then the other day I was attempting to read soemthing in hirigana, with my usual method of trying to read, then double checking myself with my dictionary, and it was just like, BAM, I read it and understood it without trying, it was really awesome and felt great. Like you said, feels like a level up.

I want to try this so bad.
