Wow, that must be the screenshot of the ESPN 360 cameras. So they are saying that's an elbow only to the upper chest? Man, some people are blind in New York.

in Shenanigans in Game 2 could embolden Rockets rest of series on Yao Ming Mania
The entire Faker team showed they had no class whatsoever last night. Their entire team embarrassed themselves when things got desperate and they could not put the Rockets away at the half. All the Faker players showed their true selves last night trying to claw their way to a win PLUS having Joey Crawford (the Anti-Rocket) protect the Golden Boy of the NBA, by allowing him to take cheap shots without ramifications. Throughout all this, the Rockets remained calmed and kept their dignity and composure, and were not sucked in to the dirty tactics the Fakers had to employ to to try so desperately to get a win, preventing them a 0-2 disaster at Staples. I applaud Ron for what he did, he expected a Technical for standing up to Kobe, but due to his history they ejected him immediately to try and "balance" out Fisher's ejection.

in Rockets shake up LA with Game 1 upset on Yao Ming Mania
What an Exciting game to watch here in LA!!! I truly enjoyed being able to trash talk all of the Faker fans that live in LA last night. Also John, besides the cheap shot by Sasha on Battier, when Kobe and Shane were diving on the floor early for a loose ball, Kobe intentionally kneed Shane in the face while getting up. He's lucky Shane is such a classy guy, and just walked away.

"since HE PICKED THE LAKERS LAST WEEK TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, MEANING HE DOESN’T THINK HIS VERY OWN TEAM IS GOOD ENOUGH TO BEAT THEM."
I beg to differ... T-Mac verbally said in a interview that Cavs cannot beat anyone in the finals in the West. And he said he was confident that Rockets will pass Blazers and he is confident even against the Lakers. He said if the Rockets beat the Lakers, we would also beat whichever Eastern team in the Finals. These statements may not be very meaningful, but it just shows that he has not abandoned this team despite him being left out.

I will listen to that interview, but I heard he gave a second
interview (probably the one you're linking to) after realizing he screwed up in a first interview where he was asked flat out who he thought would win and he responded with one word and no caveats: "Lakers." I heard Sportsradio610 in Houston play the audio this morning.
And by the way, where was he last night? Deke comes hobbling 4 days after surgery on crutches, and McGrady's MIA. He knows he's in the dog house after that Laker prediction and is no longer a part of this
team. Pathetic.

HOW SWEET IT IS!!! I HATE TNT, Chicago, and Boston though for making me miss 2 quarters of this wonderful game. If I lived in H-Town or if this game was on ESPN and had midnight replays I wouldn't be so mad, but this WIN made all the hardships throughout the season all worth it. WELCOME TO LA ROCKETS!!!

in Another loss to the Lakers knocks Rockets down the standings on Yao Ming Mania
I was at this game last night, I agree with you Carl could've helped in getting some of those offensive rebounds. I asked Keith Jones when Carl would be back and he said there isn't an exact date yet. But I did see Carl in the pre-game shoot around and he looked pretty good. Another thing about last night was the poor FT shooting by the Rockets. Yao missed on a technical FT, and a FT on a 3pt. play. Also, a bunch of 24 sec. shot clock violations showed that their offense really wasn't running smoothly. I think the Rockets will take care of business at home on Sunday and finish the season strong after this tough stretch.
On another note, Yao and Mutumbo both stopped pre-game and signed my basketball =). That was the biggest highlight of my night!

We did a better job than the Spurs did with the Lakers last night. At least we were toe to toe with the Lakers until the last few minutes of the game. They Spurs were blown wide open since the opening quarter and did not have the firepower to comeback from the deficit to win their game.

Haha... "Smart thinking fans" would actually give constructive criticism. I'm glad Yao Ming had the sense to pick a true fan to go to Beijing last summer. Not someone that'll backstab the team like 80% of the people here. I'm not just trying to defend T-Mac, the Yao haters are just as worst.

Like I said... a healthy T-Mac. Didn't see anyone complaining about T-Mac during 2nd half of last year. You're just like everyone else on this site, thinking you are GM+Coach+Trainer+Owner. Nice to see all the support by the fans when things get tough... all you people complaining now will jump back on the bandwagon after they win a few more games again and jump right off when things get tough.

A healthy T-LACK??? When???
Ever since he joined the Rockets, he had yet a 82-game full season.
The following were the games he played for the Rockets in the past 5 seasons:
04 ~ 05 78 games
05 ~ 06 47 games
06 ~ 07 71 games
07 ~ 08 66 games
08 ~ 09 35 games
In fact he was/is an injury-prone player even back at the days when he played for Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic.
Yeah he used to penetrate, drive the lane for dunks for fouls.....but that was looooooooooooooog gone. He had been downgraded to just a very mediocre jump-shooter for the past 2 to 3 years as a Rockets.
Fans were criticizing for the loss, because they're afraid the ghost of T-LACK will be attached to Ron Artest, turning him into just another egocentric me-mine-my player who put personal glory, high stats ABOVE the team, and forgot what the Houston Rockets was/is good at.
The Rockets will never achieve greatness if they are just a dumb-stupid run-and-gun, jump-shooting team. They were/are a team designed and built and excelled in half-court offense and defense, and built around Yao Ming as the nucleus/core. Go away from and ignore Yao Ming as the main go-to-guy, they are destined to doom.

Well, I actually didn't complain last night because Ren covered the game for me, and Ren's post was very diplomatic. Now as far as the commenters on this site, you should probably address it with them directly. There's a little "reply" link under each post where you can respond to each fan's comment directly.
For the record, McGrady only played in like half of the games during the 22-game winning streak last year. And this isn't really a "blind fan" site like you might want it to be. It's a "smart, thinking fan site" where we applaud them when they are playing well, and hold players and coaches accountable when they aren't. If you'd like a Kool-Aid drinking site, I'm sure there are plenty of sites out there where the fans are like lemmings and blindly believe everything they are told, or let the players do whatever or say whatever they want, only to have the team never do anything (Clippers?).

John here. "McGrady drive the lane for fouls?" What planet have you been on? Ha! He would have jacked up 3s like he always does. The last time he drove the lane late in a game for fouls was a couple of years ago, or when the fans and media would jump on him to do so. And even then, he'd miss 1 or 2 free throws.
His lack of 'health' has been a crutch; he even said when he took the 2 weeks off for rehab that he never felt better.

McGrady will be T-Mac once again, mark my words. Why doesn't anyone realize his poor play is due to his injury, people just keep ripping him up worse than Marbury? But I'll leave it at that if everyone else will... don't want to spoil a great victory for the Rockets last night. I am sold on Kyle and Brooks now for the PGs though, just hope Brooks feels more comfortable and not be as nervous as he was last night.

Do you even look at his stats besides the ppg and apg? He's a fucking guard and he shoots a miserable FT%. His FG% is below 40% and he averages around a career 40%. His 3-point FG% is atrociously worse. The guy always had mediocre defense at best and couldn't rebound at all. Now that he's injured, he's much worse.
You can put A.I. on the 2002-2003 Magic and he would be much better than McGrady.

It's time for realism. McGrady doesn't have it any more, either mentally or physically. And he's not the only one they need to consider trading. Anyone who doesn't see this after losing to so many bad teams has their head in the sand or is blind. It's time for change, baby.
YaoMingMania
Oh, I forgot to mention that by suggesting they make trades, that IS supporting them through thick and thin. The worst thing that someone can do is not care, to the point they stop watching, which is what people will do if they keep this same roster in tact.

Yeah Tracy McGrady will not be traded, cos no other NBA team will want him.
His performance in the playoffs??? So what?? It was in the past, and he never managed to take his team past the first round.
Unlike Yao, the guy is such egocentric, always put himself above everyone and the team.....always wants personal glory more than anything. I could not stop laughing just like every of the Rockets when he screwed that reverse dunk last night. Not sure why he had to do that kind of stuff......just to show off his skills???

in Ankle injury to Rafer too much to overcome. Rockets season ends in Game 6. on Yao Ming Mania
Excellent season John, appreciate your tireless hours of hard work and dedication to bring information to Rockets fans all over the world. A great big thank you for all your hard work. This sure has been a season to remember and hopefully the start of something special for the Rockets for many years to come. I believe the Rockets did all they could this season with what they had... or should I say what they were left with on the roster. Maybe it was a good thing the season turned out the way it did, so our young guys were able to have the opportunity to gain valuable experience that would benefit us next season.
However the one thing on my mind is... that couldn't of been the ending of Dikembe Mutumbo's career right? Everyone must admit that his age is catching up to him, but would the front office actually keep him on the Roster if he does choose to come back? I know he is loved by everyone and is a great role model and supporter in and out of the locker room, but can the Rockets afford the space on the Roster to bring him back?
Lastly... "IMHO they have too many fans who are a bunch of white trash losers (there, I said it!). I’ve never seen an uglier lot (both physically and class-wise), like when they cheered after Alston sprained his ankle and hobbled to the locker room. That’s just one example of how low-class many of them are. Losers." I could not agree with you more John... this Jazz team with Harpring, Okur, AK, Boozer, and Deron looks so shady and dishonest which showed from the "few" times that they WERE actually caught. This team kinda reminds me of what a hardened and disciplined Denver team could become if they took it under the table more. As for the fans, probably 3/4 of them are 45+ blue collared Caucasians with a couple wives of the same group. And to think... these are the only classless people that the Jazz have to call fans, what a pity. As for now... I'll be showing my hometown Lakers a little love on their way to demolishing the Jazz. And I bet there won't be any Jazz jerseys compared to all those Rockets jerseys over here when Houston plays at Staples Center.
Once again, a big THANK YOU everyone who has provided us a great place to find all the Rockets Videos, Pictures, Interviews, etc. throughout this year.
Thanks for the nice things you said about me. Thanks to all of you who kept coming back to read my posts. You made it easier for me to push through the fatigue.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Deke, and if he even wants to return. He's such a liability on offense, fumbles the ball too much, and he's starting to miss getting rebounds he used to get so easily. But he can still get lots of rebounds and can block shots. And his locker room presence is incredible. The Rockets would probably make him their 3rd string center after getting Yao a younger backup center, play him minimum minutes, and pay him the minimum salary since they're going to need every dollar they can to pursue a free agent or two. I just wonder if Deke would want that. -- John
