The new ones coming out are way better than gas cars. One of the main electric car companies, Zap, has delivered more than 100,000 electric vehicles (source: www.zapworld.com). EV’s cost 1 to 3 cents per mile to run, compare that to regular cars!

Re: 5 Green And Eco-Friendly Gadgets

The Tesla EV rollout will hopefully get a lot of people interested in the technology. As more companies come out with EVs, and the price comes down, they should start to capture major market share. Similar to the Tesla is the Zap-X which Zap collaborated with Lotus to design.

Re: $150 Laptop Is Still Alive

That is a great value! Just goes to show how far along technology is coming. For example, the new Zap EVs do 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Not bad for an electric car!

Re: Trial By Economic Jury: Are You Innocent Or Guilty?

Seems like investors need to keep more long-term view to avoid being involved in those problems. It's easy to forget true market fundamentals. Best long-term growth stocks: electric cars!

Re: Green Vehicles From Quebec

Its great that this technology keeps growing. The more companies engaged in EV development the faster that development will be, and we all benefit from that. The interesting one is the Zap-X, it does 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds.

Re: Biofuels as Help or Hindrance: WorldChanging Digs Deep

Why don't we just skip the fuel debate entirely and go electric? The technology is really coming along, today's EV's are at least as good as any other car. Check out Zap World, they're making a 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds EV!

Re: U.S. Army to Generate Electricity from Kitchen Waste

This is a great innovation. These kind of solutions really have a future! Maybe electric vehicle technology would find an interested market by developing the technology for military applications. maybe Zap will come out with a Hummer-type vehicle.

Re: Could Drought Kill Israel's Electric Car?

More people should learn about this. EV technology is really becoming impressive, like the new Zap that does 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds. Electric is looking more and more like the way to go.

Re: Two Canadian boys build a $672 street legal electric car!

That's awesome! The technology is really coming along for Electric Vehicles. The prices at Tesla and Zap are still a little high, but should come down as the technology becomes more popular.
