Sadly outside the growing soccer community in this nation nobody seems to care about the PL. That is unfortunate and from perspective a little sickening. The rest of the world has embraced English Football, but the US has to be different. MLS also isn't really growing anymore which too in unfortunate. Now I see where MLS wants to add more foreign players to its squads, which is a terrible mistake. MLS may not be popular, but the reason why the US doesn't miss international tournaments like England does is because the US has an extremely deep player pool since their is a 13 team league made up I would guess 90% of American players. MLS is expanding to 18 and allowing 40% of the players to be foreign. Not a good move.

Amen, Kartik. I am pleased UEFA and Platini outflanked this renegade group of clubs. I am also thankful chelsea choose not to join them. Roman A. is good for something I reckon!

City isn't coming to the US anytime soon. Over a Billion people worldwide watched the Arsenal-United game yet less than 300,000 watched in the US. why would any club come here with such apathy and the already strong loyalty of those who do care about the Premiership here?

Why would new York be attractive when they have been such losers through the years? LA is the team with a full trophy case, not New York. I believe LA has 2 MLS Cups, one continental title and a few US Cups also.

You want to know how to improve your podcast? Stop talking MLS so much and give a review of the American abroad. Only sheltered people want to hear about MLS. I loved your podcast early on with all the US National Team news and of course you're a city supporter which helps but now all this nonsense of MLS playoffs and plaudits for a bunch of guys not good enough to play abroad is turning me totally off the show.

MLS is inferior in all measures to the PL but that is not a fair measure of how good a league it is for a non European league that is only 12 years old. Many MLS bashers watch the PL exclusively, as I do except during the summer when MLS is the only thing on. I honestly used to bash MLS but have seen in the past year or two an incredible increase in the quality of play. It was not long ago that the PL did nothing but buy aged foreign stars, like around 1993 through 1996. Then some home grown players like Andy Cole and Alan Shearer exploded on the scene and we had the money to keep them in England. I now live in the states and enjoy watching MLS: It is what it is and it is worth checking out.

Why must MLS have playoffs??????????
