I know most everyone loves Obama but I was very pleased with Hillary winning last night. I really feel she has it! Also, good news with McCain. Out of all the Rep's he is the one I fear the least being in control.

I just hope that Iowa isn't representative of the rest of the country's ideological beliefs. George Bush is bad enough but to have someone nominated president that is a self-proclaimed evangelical scares the sh*t out of me.

Wow what is up with the movement to rename all the streets in PDX? I like the Rosa Parks Way change but question the change for 82nd Ave to Avenue or Roses or something :) Do they really think that changing the name of the road will somehow improve the surroundings?

Rick I am with you. I do not think bikes should "run" red lights or stop signs, just as pedestrians shouldn't blindly walk out into the street. But if the way is clear I think it is safest for them to cross before the traffic begins, especially if cars are going to be making right-hand turns.

I didn't get hit today but I was screamed at by a driver while I was on my way to work. I was as far to the side as I could be and the woman almost ran me over. When I turned to the car and said WTF she started yelling at me saying I should be off the road because I can cause an accident. She proceeded to yell at me for several blocks until she finally turned. Poor lady.

I have tried book clubs before and always get behind. Right now I am in a long distance slow as hell book club and I think I am in the lead with reaching chapter 3 after 2 weeks. We are reading East of Eden though so at this rate I will be done next summer...

As a system administrator I have dealt with MS's product delays, bug fixes (or lack of) and poor support. Although I don't use Google on a professional level, I do use many of Google's tools daily and as an end user have had nothing but positive experiences. All I can say is that Google has a long way to go before it is as smug and manipulative as MS.

I love Picassa too but I don't use the "web" portion of it. Anyway, I tend to disagree with you about Google becoming more like MS. MS has their heads so far up their asses that they have lost complete touch with what people want/need. I think Google knows what people want/need but haven't quite figured out how to integrate it fully. I think they are still very new and have a lot of maturity ahead. I am happy to know they are giving MS a run for their money.

Joking or not I think this rant is great! I especially liked the piece about not wanting to sign up for other people's blogs (opb?) I will literally stop in my tracks if I have to sign up before posting!

TJ's is good for quite a few things, but I have noticed they are no longer stocking the Museli cereal that I was buying weekly. it really bums me out.

I went to Trébol over the weekend enjoyed it! I do feel that their portions were a little on the small side. I had to fill up on the tortillas!
