Would be fascinating to tweak it into a "school" and "family' situation, showing how something could spread within a classroom, then to older/younger siblings, and into their classrooms, along with their extended connections. EDIT ( sorry--posted before I got to the latter slides doing something like that).

Re: Gonna be a Daddy! That's late 1990s speeds.

My Comcast DOCSIS 3.0 is listed at 110mbps down with a reality of about 60mbps or so. I can't get FIOS from Verizon due to where I live but their numbers are also impressive.

What are they saying you should be getting and is it relating well to your overall performance? Do you happen to have a really really old router or firewall in the mix? When I jumped to 110mbps we discovered that the WAN->LAN throughput on my really old firewall was limited to 7mpbs and thus I wasn't getting the full glory of the speed (I had to buy a new router).

Re: An Apollo astronaut on political quagmires

Actually many other astronauts have had remarkably similar realizations when looking at the Earth from the same point of view.

http://www.spacequotations....

Re: HK Hackerspace Environmental Monitoring - Pachube

Some pretty wild swings there. Did you open the window or something?

Re: Google+ Has Been Throttled to Death – Now Blocked in China

Was working for me from Shenzhen this weekend. The Google iPhone app has worked flawlessly in China since it was released. We'll see how long that lasts.
