All 3 fixes did not work for me:

1. "Turn on Files On-Demand". This feature was already on. 2. "Log out and Log in OneDrive". Did so, several times, even rebooting system after logging out and then logging back in after system restart. No help. 3. "Reinstall OneDrive". First, I chose to 'Unlink this PC' and then uninstalled it. Purged system of all user/system temp/cache directories and rebooted. Then downloaded the latest (theoretically... One never knows with Microsoft...) and installed it. All prompts as if I was installing a fresh, new OneDrive appeared and I re-logged back in with the same account as before. Nada. Zilch. Nothing. When I right-click an item in my OneDrive to "Always keep on this device" - I don't get that option. It's just not there.

Please advise.

Same here! 2 Surface Pro 4's. Both have w11 RELEASE clean installs - on the same day. Performed all the MS updates they both required. Reboots, etc. One SP4's checkmark boxes absolutely will NOT go away. The other - once I deselect the option in Folder Preferences - they're history. Gone. Kaput.

Exactly. Winrar is a great balance... And with the huge storage choices we have nowadays, we don't really need to have maximum compression that 7-zip offers. I think Winrar is the best all around.

You should stop spreading bad information. You may THINK you are helping, but you are, in fact, NOT. You are what we IT pros call a "dangerous user"... A user who THINKS he knows what he's doing - but in actuality - and in the real-world - does in fact NOT know what he is doing... I have several of your kind at my office - and believe me - they do more HARM than good... spreading erroneous 'knowledge' and 'tips'...

Please do some studying before you think you can actually help others... You will save people in forums such as this one - and IT pros around the world - and enormous amount of time...

DEFINITELY - VERSION 3.0 user here! As others have stated, the later versions of ACDSee are just too slow, and they're also too mucked up with too many bells & whistles.... I LOVE version 3 (1999...??)! it' simple, fast, and I can do quick edits. Sometimes it freezes up on me in W7 and W10 :( Must be the software saying: "Please spend more money on me... Please?" LOL) But no way. I agree with others.. The older versions were just PERFECT !!! Sorry ACDSee people...!

Come on... Shazam has been free, whereas Soundhound costed. I had my radar up for just such apps, because I always thought it'd be a great idea to have some sort of a database where songs could be recognized. I even had started thinking I should start a company where people could call, hum a tune, and the 'song specialist' would be able to nail it. How quaint, considering where we are now....

So I immediately did my own comparisons between Soundhound and Shazam when they came out. My verdict immediately went to Soundhound. It's clearly better at recognizing songs. No question. Spring for the better app.

Not as spiffy and cool as Apple's way of doing it. Android-heads don't get it yet. Apple doesn't just put out a feature because it can be done. They wait until they have it perfect (usually) and the feature turns out to be just too cool and in the end, a hit. MP3 players were out years before the iPod. Guess who won that market. Cell phones were out before the iPhone. Guess who won that market. "Slates" were out before the iPad. Guess who made slates cool - and wanted - and successful.

Get over it Android fanboys. You keep trolling these Apple articles so you can poo-poo Apple and fling your 'iSheep' insults, solely for the purpose of jacking up your fragile egos so you can feel like you made the right choice, when deep in the back of you minds(?), you're wishing you had made the correct choice in the first place.
