Not true if you were at San Diego Comic Con you would have seen the push of Pig Goat Banana Cricket from Nickelodeon. Nick premiered and promoted Pig Goat Banana Cricket At SDCC. Every time I passed by their booth it was all about Pig Goat Banana Cricket, I didn't even realize they had other new cartoons like Harvey Beaks or Loud House until I looked up Pig Goat Banana Cricket on the internet and found out they had other new cartoons.

Did Harvey Beaks get a week or more of on air promtions? -I never saw one. Only found out about it 2 months after it had already premiered.

In this digital age I agree it is hard to figure out where your audience is. But some marketing (from Nick) for a new show and consistent scheduling helps establish its audience foundation.

Sorry I read on C.H. Greenblatt tumblr (see image attached) where he says," The new episodes are always on nick.com." Mis-read it thought he meant new episodes will be on nick.com.

You can still go to watch Harvey Beaks online at nick.com. And see what a good show it is.

This is just my opinion, Nickelodeon has been spending a lot of money promoting Pig Goat Banana Cricket. And probably not getting the (ratings) numbers they want. So to try to up their ratings they are pulling any new cartoons that might be competing for the same eyeballs. Then, in the fall bring back (or cancel) some of the new cartoons they had made.

I hope I'm wrong, my daughter loves Harvey Beaks and didn't care too much for Pig Goat Banana Cricket. I've watched both and to me Harvey Beaks writing is there! They have it figured out. While Pig Goat Banana Cricket cartoon the writing is all over the place. Animation looks great but the writing is not.

Really like your points about the book. I read the preview copy they had and I printed it out to read on the train. I do like the information graphics created based on the designers responses. I thought that was really unique and interesting.

I know that in the end I'll buy the physical book. I feel though its a great idea to sell a pdf version of the book, I would end up deleting it off my desktop or not be able to find the pdf when I would need to reference it.

I totally agree! I rarely go to their website for that main reason. Everything is a hyper link and I never know what to click on first. And I can not stand seeing things underlined on websites. (Unless it's used to bring attention for a specific reason in a huge paragraph or used for a specific reason).

I do find it ironic that Advertising Age has articles that are very critical of companies that move onto the web and then critique them for having either a bad functioning site or points out how bad that companies website looks - but they never seem to take their own advice.

Sounds like an interesting read gonna have to pick it up - I like the layout of the book, having a different typeface for each essay keeps it visually engaging. thanks for posting some photos of the pages.

Very Cool! I thought I was the only one that had an affinity for Beef Cut Charts. (I think I like them because of their organized look they have.) I never saw the Fresh Direct one before I like the color coded parts and the explanation of where all the Sirloin cuts come from.

If there is a way of combining google maps with an augmented reality directional App that could be used in any state or country - that would be incredible. Technology is changing so fast - soon enough no one will never get lost.
